I do not recommend this place. The 3 stars is for the speed of service, easy to eat portions, and relative affordability for AYCE. Food comes super fast, at the cost of being poorly assembled sometimes. It’s 5 pieces per roll, so you can try a variety without feeling too burdened. The cost for weekends or dinner is $33/person. The food is just not very good. The worst part is that they can’t even cook rice right. RICE. At a SUSHI restaurant! It’s insanely dense and unpleasant to chew and of course they’d add sooo much of it to everything. The fish was consistently bland with some highs and lows. The fish on the nigiri wasn’t bad, but it doesn’t taste great either. I forgot to take a picture of this one but I did enjoy the salmon in the spicy assorted sashimi side specifically. It’s a nice pile of cubed salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. My partner ate the yellowtail and it had a mushy, poorly thawed frozen texture. Tried the 49ers roll, azukar roll, and bay scallop roll. 49ers is ok but the ratio of ingredients to rice is poor. Azukar roll was my favorite, probably cause it’s a fried maki roll and didn’t have an awful outer layer of rice lol. The bay scallop roll is extremely umami and a little sickening, but it’s fine with sriracha. The selection is not very diverse. Lastly we ordered sesame balls, it’s nice cause they can be ordered individually. They’re ok, I like how they’re petite. We asked what the donut on their menu is and the server said it’s just a normal sugar donut hole fyi. You can just go ahead and disregard the Asian food opinions of everyone raving about this being the best sushi ever lol. Just go literally anywhere else run by the Japanese or Koreans. Not trying to sound like a snob, I love cheap slightly low quality sushi. But this is NOT it. Don’t take your Asian friends and don’t take someone here for their first time. Sorry. The inside of the restaurant and servers were nice.

I’m currently trying to find good AYCE places ever since I moved from Las Vegas and this place is a must. It may not have much of a selection as other AYCE places, but guys let’s be honest with each other and admit we don’t even order 50% of what’s on a AYCE menu that has 100 items. We have our favorites and this place most definitely will have yours. The salmon nigiri absolutely blew my mind with how fatty the salmon was and how prominent the white lines were on the cuts. I’ve been to many places in Vegas that don’t even come close to this. Also with it being a bit of a smaller restaurant the servers are always able to be attentive and keep your cup filled. Really the only gripe I had was the miso soup. It was a little bit lack luster with not that much salt, but of course I understand not all miso pastes are the same. The soup still warmed me up and that’s all that matters. Please give this place a shot for your lunch break. It’s worth every dollar!

Azukar Sushi was a remarkable find in Sacramento Ca. While my Daughter and I were on a College tour trip thru California. This small strip mall Sushi Restaurant is very unassuming, yet simply elegant, its marble tables with white paper..the maybe 8 tables were all completely filled. The magic of Azukar is simple fair done exceptionally well. Their selection of Nigiri to their Wide variety of Rolls and Sashimi were impeccable in flavor and execution. The specialties of the house and their use of spice is an absolute symphony on the palate. Favorites of the day included The Arizona Roll, All the House special Carpaccios and the Salmon Nigiri and the Spicy Assorted Sashimi. Their fish is fresh and melts in your mouth, all accompanying sauces were all incredible. Will definitely be revisiting whenever in Northern California and highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed!!!

I really like the staff here. They are friendly. However, a couple weeks ago, they showed how vicious they can be. A couple of guys forgot to bring cash with them as they assumed that the establishment accepts Apple Pay. They do accept Apple Pay as I paid using it also. On this particular day, their machine was not working and one of the servers yelled out that that the customers' phone was not properly working. At this point, the mood in the restaurant changed. The two gentlemen calmly sat down to find their debit card. One of them stood up, apologized, and said to the waiter that he will go to the Chase bank to withdraw some money and come back to pay for their meal while the other friend stays behind. The servers yelled at this man despite assuring them that he would come back. He then proceeded to apologize to the chef and he also yelled and told him not to come back anymore. By listening to the man talking to the staff, I could clearly tell that he has a speech impediment. I also noticed that he also had a mobility issue. This restaurant did not give him the chance to show them that he would come back to pay for their meal. If someone is willing to pay for their meal despite your staff yelling at them but yet you kick them out, then I think we should really think hard about going to...

Service: Horrendous! Tuesday evening, 2 wait staff & full out. Didn't take long to sit but took forever to order. Others were ordering before. That should tell you that that hardly come to check on you. They fly by so fast, you can barely flag them down. When I finally caught them, they were like you didn't order yet? Uh no! How could we when you never came back and flew by so fast like you were avoiding us.

Food: Took a bit to come out. It's ayce but doesn't feel like it cause you cannot consistently order since you always gotta flag them then they're like, 1 min but never come back. Rolls are sloppy. They don't hold. Breaks apart easily when picking up with chopsticks and it's not cause I'm too rough. I've used chopsticks nearly all my life. Never got our drinks refilled either even though we asked.

Rating: Would I go back? Nah. Hard pass. Not worth the hassle for lack of service & poorly made rolls. There are better ayce sushi places out there. But hey, if this is your place cause they treat you right, then by all means please...
