Main Street Bagel Cafe — Restaurant in Sacramento

I am absolutely disgusted as I witnessed a homeless woman who was crippled in a wheelchair had come into the café. Another person came in and paid for her to get a full breakfast, including a coffee and walked out and let the people know that it was for the homeless person. I sat there and waited for my food. I ordered my food and waited and witnessed the woman knowingly not give that homeless person the food the patriot had paid for. I felt so bad for the woman as she was inquiring about the food that the Man had purchased on her behalf And so I decided to walk up and ask myself what had happened to the food. The lady lied to me and said the man did not pay for food when I saw him pay with his card in order the food for the woman. So then I proceeded to purchase food again for this woman and the woman let me know knowing I had children, knowing someone had already paid for this food. I then waited for the woman to get her food and once again the woman did not give her the food I had to come up and inquire again about the Food and say when would she be getting the food that I purchased. Then a man laughed about the situation thinking it was funny. I think it’s disrespectful and disgusting to treat people this way with all the current things that are going on in the world, especially someone who is handicapped in our community. In addition to that the food is cool, but it’s not something you can’t make it home. Secondly, they raise their prices. Their prices are extremely high. Their food is overrated. I will not be going here again...

Been coming here for over a decade. And the food, bread, bagels still taste the same and keeps me coming back!

They have some amazing fresh baked rolls everyday for their lunch sandwiches. Each sandwich comes with green leaf lettuce, cucumber, tomato, mayo, mustard and even bean sprouts on them and comes with a sliced pickel on the side. My favorite is the Main St. Special (Turkey & Avacado) on the parmesan bread.(Bread is always toasted before they put on anything.

Bagels galore. From plain, strawberry, blueberry, everything, sesame, wheat, spinach parmesan, onion, salted, garlic and more. They have some gourmet ones too, bacon, jalepeno, score garlic, mushroom spinach and cheese and more.

They also serve some of the boba drinks, coffee, tea, soda, fresh juices, bottled water and a few others also.

I was there this morning around 9 am to get some breakfast. This employee (lady) was sitting in a chair while being on her cellphone, she got up and asked what I wanted to order. So she got up and put a glove on her left hand, without ever washing her hands. While I look down the counter, she was grabbing the ham with her other hand that had no glove on. I brought the attention to the cashier lady, I asked to cancel my order and told her what happened. Also, another customer in front of me ordering food canceled her order too after I discovered that. I just wanted to let everyone know that this is a fantastic place to get breakfast, but knowing how many germs that lady had on her hands, it seriously could've gotten myself or my family sick, and for that I will...
