Bingsu Tea in Natomas is an easy, low-stress stop just a quick hop from SMF (Sacramento International Airport).
If you're anywhere near the greater Sacramento region and craving something cool, creamy, and Green Tea-forward, this spot delivers. I ordered a Green Tea drink and a Green Tea dessert, and both were standouts. The drink was balanced and refreshing, with a distinct green tea flavor and a gentle sweetness that didn't drown out the tea. It had that clean, slightly toasty note I love in quality matcha/green tea beverages, with a smooth texture and no chalkiness. Perfect airport pickup fuel.
The Green Tea dessert was the star: light and airy, with a deep tea aroma that actually tastes like tea (not just sugar-dyed green). Each bite melted cleanly, with subtle bitterness rounding out the sweetness. The toppings added great contrast (teddy bear--Instagram/snapchat-worthy)--soft and chewy, tying everything together without turning it into a sugar bomb. It's the kind of dessert you finish without feeling heavy.
Service was quick and friendly, even during a busy window, and the shop felt bright, tidy, and welcoming as there are 2 self-kiosks to order from and one at the counter/cash register to order from the cashier. Parking was easy, and the location is super convenient whether you're heading to a flight or hosting out-of-town visitors who want a "Sacramento treat" minutes from the terminal. Prices felt fair for the quality and portion sizes.
Pro tip: go Green Tea on both the drink and the dessert if you're a tea fan--the flavors are authentic and satisfying. If you're short on time before or after a flight, call ahead or order online to keep it breezy. Overall, Bingsu Tea is a must-visit in Natomas: fresh flavors, thoughtful textures, friendly people, and a perfect stop not far from SMF. Or a go-to dessert date with your significant other after eating lunch/dinner....
Read moreI was so excited to see this new tea/dessert shop taking Mr. Sun Tea’s place (I loved them and was so sad to see them go). I’ve missed my twice weekly boba tea! However, my first experience was a total miss. The tapioca boba was terrible - as in inedible. In fact, the boba was so hard I thought I might break a tooth. It was also somehow horrifically sweet (the boba itself - not the tea). The jasmine tea was ok, but not very flavorful (I didn’t really taste the jasmine). I also don’t like that you can’t order from the kiosk if you want a milk substitute - it doesn’t allow for it. But I was able to order at the register so I could ask for oat milk, and they fortunately had it. But I don’t know that I want to go through the trouble again if I’m going to just have to dump it because the boba is so bad. And I’m not hard to please when it comes to boba. I’ll take it mushy or very chewy, but when it’s so hard that you can’t bite through it, that’s a no-go. If I try this place again, I’ll report back, but this might be a one and...
Read moreThere’s been mulitiple boba places coming and going in this building for years now, and i truly hope this is the one that stays. I love the menu screens for ordering. I haven’t had the pleasure of trying the bingsu yet, but I have tried the popcorn chicken, the coffee milk tea, the uji matcha cheese cream, and the earl grey milk tea. All of them surpassed my expectations. The popcorn chicken appeared to be a very similar recipe to t4’s popular basil popcorn chicken, which ive been buying for years, but Bingsu’s popcorn chicken was leages better. It was unbelievably good. It tasted fresh, higher quality chicken, not too greasy, and the seasoning was amazing. I’m also obsessed with the teddy bear decor inside, it would be really cute to take pictures in front of them.
Please stay Bingsu Tea! The only thing i can think of that i would critique is that you guys could definitely use a better graphic designer for your logo.. But i wish this establishment much luck in...
