Tasty Pot Natomas — Restaurant in Sacramento

I am trying to be fair here by starting with the fact that I have gone to this place nearly a dozen times because I like the type of food and it's close to home. Unfortunately, a lack of options for hotpot nearby.

The service is hardly great and best time to go is before or after lunch hours midweek as they seem to struggle with being any more than 1/3 capacity. I have been there when it's busy with a table of 3, we ordered similar entree soups at the same time, but one of us didn't get there dish until about 45 minutes after the first two came out.

Last night was the deal breaker. My wife orders her beef soup the same way every time with miso broth, and they mess that up. It took longer than it should to correct the issue. Honest mistake, I'll give the benefit of the doubt. We proceed with dinner but a moment later I had a loud crunch in my mouth and some pain in my molar gum line , paused and quickly realized no way that would've been a clam shell. Check out the picture, there was a piece of hard plastic, probably packaging material in my soup.

Our server said he'll talk to the owner, and was sent back by the owner to give a heartless apology with no other gesture of concern or...

Rude staff...not recommending this place for anyone.We went in for a party of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) and had to call a waiter to take out order after 25 mins.She came with an attitude and took the order. Ofcouse she messed up the order.Half way my son ran low on the broth and needed refill but no one was around to do it..we were not checked on from the beginning.Had to get up and go to the person on the counter and ask for extra broth. Another female came with an attitude and almost spilled the broth on my son. Rudeness to the highest level!!! Seems like this place also doesn't like people of color we were very badly treated. Not going they...

I had lunch at this authentic Taiwanese restaurant yesterday, 02/18/2024, and was satisfied with the quality of the food. I had Pot #2 (Lamb Hot Soup) and it was delicious. The pork bone soup is very tasty and that it could be filling since you can always request a refill of the soup. The veggies and the lamb meat were prepared well to give the customer a good size portion meal. This is one hot pot place that I will be coming back. The $17 price tag (tax and tip not included) for my meal which include the iced tea is reasonable.
