Doughnut Bliss
When I walked in my intention was to buy a coffee and maybe a pastry on the side. Immediately I noticed the sign near the doughnut case that had besides other items Vietnamese coffee. This was an instant sell. I hadn’t had authentic Vietnamese coffee in years. Personally, I enjoy it far more then any corporate, popular coffee brands out there. Next, I had to choose a pastry, which normally I would not choose at the corporate coffee houses, but the choices here don’t make it easy to pass on. This choice was obvious to me when I noticed the customer who arrived before me was still choosing his dozen and a half. While I was browsing the case of delightful treats, I was greeted by every employee in the house. That in itself is a rarity. It felt like coming home. Feeling comfortable to ask any questions, I did. They did everything to make me feel welcomed. I picked a pink heart shaped and a bacon covered maple bar as pastries to accompany the large Vietnamese coffee I ordered. Despite spending more then I intended to when I walked in, I walked out happy and satisfied. I highly recommend this place. Please support this before choosing a corporate coffee house. This place felt more like home, then another cold, corporate coffee house. Thank you to the staff at Natomas Donuts. You made my...
Read moreThese might be the best donuts in natomas. I pre-ordered 2 and 1/2 dozen donuts from here for my sons birthday with his class in school. Unfortunately for some reason the bakers neglected to bake my once in a blue moon order today which is what is prompted me to leave this review. The woman at the counter was extremely apologetic and offered to give me my next order for free except I am not a regular customer. I was a bit hastily disappointed in being concerned with my sons reaction of not getting the donuts we ordered together 3 days before, however. As soon as I got home to figure out the situation I realized even though my order was not made she had stuffed as much of what was left of my order mixed with what was left at the end of the morning hours plus 15 extra donuts into 3 boxes for me. While sorting out the situation before I could drop some of the boxes off at my sons school I manged to help myself to one of the donuts. To me most of the time a donut is an occasional craving maybe twice a year at most that I usually just fulfill with the typical grocery store fare but natomas donuts are next level. I definitely reccomend this...
Read moreNot too long ago, this place doubled all of their prices. The staff lied and said it was under new ownership and because they were using new flour. I don't believe for most of the donuts this is true, and another employee confirmed they lied about being under new ownership, they literally just tell people that rather than telling them "we doubled all our prices because we think we'll make more money. Either way, it's not worth the price increase, and nothing they have done justifies it.
I boycotted Pepsi for less price gouging than this place. Literally, I would just walk over to Safeway in the same parking lot before going here again.
At first I figured, this is where everything is going, then I happened by another donut shop where everything is about half the price of this place. Amazingly, everything was just as good, some stuff was better.
There's this one lady who works here that's excellent, but the younger people that work here are actually kind of rude, especially the young man who seems like he's annoyed just to be working.
I used to come here frequently, now I'm done, this place won't get my...
