This past Saturday, my brother went to Chili's. When we got there, we were seated fast. We grabbed our menu's and within 5 minutes our waiter Josh came over to take our drink orders. We gave our drinks order and said we needed a few more minutes. About 5 mins later he came back and we gave our order. We both had chose the 3 for $10.99. My brother chose to upgrade his appetizer to the triple dip (choosing fresh salsa, the white queso, and skillet queso) with bottomless chips with a secret sauce burger. I chose the Caesar side salad and the old timer burger. Our server Josh took off to do other duties. As we sat there my brother made a comment saying :i hope they don't bring out the appetizer and food at the same time." I agreed saying they shouldn't. We waited for about 20-25 mins when a waitress showed up with our burgers and we hadn't even gotten our appetizers yet. When I told her we hadn't gotten our appetizers yet, she said she wasn't sure what was going on but would talk to our waiter and also she about making things right. A few minutes later our waiter shows up with our appetizers and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for a new ketchup bottle and then mustard. My brother was waiting to eat with me but since it took a while I told him to start eating. When I finally got the mustard and ketchup, my brother had already finished half of his burger. We tried the dips; the white queso and skillet queso was cold. So we chose to eat our burgers first because did not want them to get cold. During this whole time the waiter never once came back to refill my soda. When my brother and I finished, the waiter came back and was going to give us our bill as if nothing happened. I told him about the food and he seemed he didn't know what to do, so he walked off. The manager or not sure what he was, he never once introduced who he was or what he was. He just had a white t-shirt with multi colors on it. He said our server Josh had told him and he apologized for the tardiness and stated they were behind a little. He also acknowledged that he received another complaint about the queso being cold. He said he took care of our appetizers, which I was confused because they were part of the 3 for $10.99. In the end the bill was $7-$8 cheaper than it possibly would have been (not sure because the tax). Then as we paid the bill I asked for a to-go cup and that took 7 mins to get.
I am grateful for the "manager" understanding there was an issue but I used to work in food service and customer service. He could of done something better.
My brother and I agreed that we wont be going...
Read moreI hate to post this review because this was my favorite Chili's to visit but after the experience I had the other night I might not be visiting anymore. So, we had a party of 7. We were told that the wait would be 30-45 minutes because there was only 1 server on the side we needed to be seated. Mind you it was a busy Friday night at 9pm. We sat and waited. No one checked on us and other people walked in sat down and ate and even left before we even got seated. Finally after about an hour my brother asks how much longer before we got seated then the excuses started. Oh well this section is still busy and we might not be able to seat you all together. FF we got seated the waitress came over with an automatic attitude rushing us to put in our drink orders. A few moments later she came to take our food orders. My brother wasn't sure what he wanted to eat and her attitude grew. Then she tells him well I need to get your order because the kitchen closes at 11. I said to her jokingly well the kitchen will have to work a little overtime since we just got seated. Then she really got an attitude and said no the kitchen closes at 11 so we need to hurry up. So me being me I matched her energy and got an attitude back and said seriously this time well we were just seated at 10:25 so the kitchen will have to work overtime. She then walks away. I asked to speak to the manager and he comes over already on the defense. I explained everything that happened and told him I wanted to cancel my order because I didn't appreciate the attitude from the waitress. He then says to me that threatening to cancel my order is bad on him. I tell him it's not my fault that they didn't schedule their staff accordingly on a Friday night and I didn't appreciate being rushed to order my food. He says well one bad apple can spoil the bunch and everyone's order can be cancelled. I told him do what you have to do with my order because I'm leaving. Just very unprofessional and rude. Later my brother tells me that the manager apologized and said he would talk to the waitress because her behavior was not called for and the hostess for telling us the wrong time frame but I said too little too late. He didn't apologize to me. He had the worst attitude. I could have had an attitude from the moment we sat down because it was already late but I didn't but that girl made me take it there. Come to find out the GM wasn't even going to open the restaurant that day and now I can see why. I hope they get a good 1 on 1 on how to treat their customers or find new professions because service and...
Read moreThank you to the server DONNIE!! She was not our server but ended up taking more care of us than our actual server: Melissa.
Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated and over half the restaurant was empty.
Once seated, Melissa asked our drinks to get started. The drinks and chips/salsa took over 10 minutes to get to us, so long that she came to us to order our food before ever bringing our drinks and appetizers. We had to remind her about the drinks. When we finally got our drinks, no straws and weren’t offer any. Melissa would rush away after giving us something. Luckily, the sweet server Donnie served us some even though we weren’t her table. We ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it came out grilled. It had to be returned and took another 15 minutes to get the remake. Donnie was again the one that helped with getting my meal correct. I had suggested just to switch the patty to avoid another wait but I had to send the entire meal back. That part is okay, but it took a while and my husband ended up waiting for my food to come back to continue eating his which ultimately made his go cold. On a good note, once I got the correct order, the food was delicious so kodos to the cooks but service was trash. Melissa never checked on us until the very end when I pulled out a $20. Oh and management? What’s that. The manager walked right past us twice while waiting for my remake, no acknowledgement until my husband mentioned out loud about his food getting cold waiting on my meal to come back. Then the manager came to give us a petty “I’m aware of the sandwich, we are getting it remade.” My husband tells him back it’s my birthday and it we can just get the desert without any singing, since we were pretty annoyed already by the service. He said “ok. Do you want it now or what”
I gave the tip to the server that actually helped us. Thank you Donnie. Mind you, this was a birthday lunch as it’s my birthday. Not the best choice to celebrate here with the service we got. Won’t be...
