RUDEST. SERVICE. EVER. If I could give zero stars I would. It lost them our patronage tonight and for life. If you cannot even say hello to your customers, and treat them with basic human decency and respect, you do NOT deserve our hard-earned money.
Tonight my boyfriend, our 6-month-old daughter and I walked in to Falafel Corner for the first time. We frequent many falafel quick bite places around Sac, so we wanted to give this new one a try.
With no room for customers waiting to order, we stood in front of an occupied table in the entry while examining the menu that is placed right above it.
While looking at the menu, a worker at the restaurant pushed rudely past my boyfriend, who was holding our six-month-old daughter, in order to get several empty baskets to the trash can behind my boyfriend. No apology or even acknowledgement was given.
An obvious associate of the worker then attempted to toss a water bottle at the same trash can, which hit my boyfriend in the leg. Once again, no apology or acknowledgement given.
Once the two gentlemen ordering in front of us were complete, I walked up to the POS station to order. As I turned around I realized the same worker had then cut off my boyfriend to hand an application for his buddy with the water bottle to the staff behind the counter. My incredulity was obvious by this point as I couldn't help but stare at the employee preventing a customer from joining his party and ordering.
Now standing at the POS station with my boyfriend and daughter finally beside me, it took a minute for anyone to approach from the other side of the counter. I waited patiently.
When a young gentleman finally did approach, he did so with such reluctance that he barely glanced at me, slumped over the POS and said flatly, "Hi, how's it going."
To which I cheerily replied, "Hi! Good thanks. How are YOU?"
His response was an eye roll and another flat, "What can I get you?"
I spoke my order nice and clearly, to which he sighed and rolled his eyes again as he lazily punched it in the system and asked if it were here or to go.
At this point, as a 31-year-old, college educated, mother of two and restaurant service industry veteran, I could not help but to comment on the young man's demeanor.
I said, "Hey, be happy! You're working! You're making money. People are coming in to buy your food. Smile!"
To which we received a head shake, disrespectful look at me, and an, "Anything else?"
At which point my boyfriend, who had been silent this whole time despite the rudeness already displayed to him, said, "No. We're done."
I told the young man congratulations on losing business, and we took our dinner plans elsewhere.
As a regular restaurant patron, I can forgive a sloppy set up and limited menu. I can forgive wait times and mistakes. I can NOT look past deliberate, knowledgeable rudeness and disrespect as shown at this...

The mix and dressing is of a different quality at this particular location. Vegetables seem to be a capricious notion to the owner or owners who are now undermining employee hours.
Cheap Greedy
However still good tasting product.
"If I [customer] pay the same price and my food is different multiple times (nearly every time now) within a relatively short span of time?"
Conclusion The company must be unstable in its ability to deliver the same value to cost ratio.
This doesn't make me a long standing loyal customer because no loyalty was extended to me.

"Tasted Great...More!"
Pros -Fresh Produce and finished product -Consistently the same [with visits] -Quick Service; typically out the door in 5 -Convenient Location central to travel routes -Presentation; end-product "engineering thoughtfulness"
Cons -Could work more on "the Human [interaction/experience] side" -Utensils as well as condiments should be standard
5/4/2022 Slid back in quality a little. Chicken and portions as well as produce not quite as consistent.
5/13 I have eaten here 5 x since original review. Each time there are corners cut. Each time I frequent here the portions shrink considerably and the quality is cut. Though I admit that the product has a base taste that is of par (with each visit)? The taste is there but the product is diminishing quickly.
My recommendation?
"Deliver what you promise each and every time without waiver...and you will gain back your bread and butter frequent visitors.
Final Statement (today) Please continue to produce (with pride) and stop cutting corners. Undoubtedly your base product is a great tasting healthy alternative to all other available Sacramento...
