Midtown Bakery — Restaurant in Sacramento

Just tried Midtown Bakery this past weekend, and wow is it incredible. I tried a slice of carrot cake, a French puff, and their sweet savory corn muffin. The carrot cake was moist, flavorful, and the sweet cream cheese frosting was perfect with the slightly less sweet inside. It was probably the best carrot cake I've ever had. The french puff was insane. Sweet, buttery, with a great balance of cinnamon and nutmeg, and a really amazing, soft texture. The corn muffin had a really nice savory sweet combo, with the cheddar and bacon topping adding an awesome salty touch. I tried adding a little chive cream cheese to the muffin out of curiosity, and that was super tasty as well. Absolutely the best bakery in Sacramento! Always has amazing and delicious desserts. I've tried so many delicious new things. The classic lemon squares and cookies are always so fresh and perfect. The cakes are cooked perfectly and are incredible, to say the least. The cheesecake is definitely made with love, and any cheesecake lover will taste it. My family experienced banana cake loaves during a very sad time in our lives. My sweet cousin wanted to cheer us and also have enough for our large family. We received 13 loaves of the most attractively wrapped banana cake. The cake was moist, flavorful, full of nuts, all who received a serving raved about how good it was.
