Paws and the Palette — Local services in Sacramento

I think it's great that there are stores like this, being an owner of 2 dogs and fostering other dogs from local shelters. That being said, this just left me with an awful customer experience. My wife, I and her cousin had stumbled across this place after eating, and we walk in to not being greeted or even acknowledged by person working there. We spent a good 10 minutes browsing the small store in close proximity to the associate without being asked if we could use any help or suggestions. I felt like the only time we were acknowledged was when we brought our merchandise to the front and even then the woman felt a little condescending when I mentioned we had 3 dogs and one was handicap. Another couple walked in with their well behaved German shepherd and there was another smaller dog that got yappy but the couple had to leave out their animal even though it didnt seem to growl or react. Really wish I could give my business here again but you only get one chance to make a first impression. I'll give it another go in the near future and hope things will...

SUPER RUDE!!! Decided to come to this store (10/19) to get my little pup a treat for his birthday. Usually go to a different store, but this store was closer. Came into the store with my friend and was not greeted. Nonetheless I continued to browse around. Owner was super rude when asked to grab treat out of the case. When it came to check out just super short and not very friendly. I didn’t not feel welcomed at all. Payed and she TOSSED my card back at me and didn’t even care to look in my direction. I did not want to assume it was because of my friends and I skin tone ( brown and darker) but she was giving more service to the white couple while ignoring us. I forgot my phone was there and she didn’t even realize that I left my phone which was right next to hers. She was just well at least you have it now and looked away. TERRIBLE SERVICE. The store is closed a lot of the time when it's supposed to be open. I ordered a cake for my girl's birthday, and had to make an appointment to pick it up even though the store was supposed to be open. I called the owner on my way over and she said she'd be there in 15 minutes. She was 15-20 minutes late and had the nerve to give me an attitude when I questioned her about it. I was on my lunch break at work and was beyond pissed that I wasted my entire lunch break waiting for her. I will NEVER go back there, or recommend her to anyone. I hope her store fails and she has to close it. I'd give her less than one star if I could. Do yourself a favor.....DON'T PATRONIZE THIS...
