Panera Bread — Restaurant in Sacramento

Usually the drive through salad and soup are OK. But I did a 3 bakers dozen, toasted and 2 creams for each box order of bagels the day before. Spoke with a girl on the phone the day before. There were workers laughing and talking super loud in the background. She was definitely distracted and a guy jumped on the phone to help then just handed it back to her. Arrived at 7am to pick up my order nothing was prepped. Nothing. The gal at the front registered had no sense of urgency. But one of the guy worker stepped up and tried his best to help me. Nobody was helping him ans the guy manager just apologized and said they'll talk to the girl that room my order. I stood there for 30 mins waiting. When they wanted to give me 2 spreads I corrected them that the gal told me I get 2 for each box. Then they threw it in as of they were doing me a favor. Do not make bagel order here. Has good food with an atmosphere of a traditional bakery submerged in a modern fast food eatery.

I like the food, but I wouldn't say anything stands out as amazing, especially at the price range of the food and the size portions you get.

Last time, I got a sandwich, which was on sourdough bread toasted/grilled with shredded chicken, but the sandwich was literally as thick as a grilled cheese sandwich and my wife got a bowl of soup and salad, again meager portions. The bill was over $40.

I could have spent the same amount and got big portions at an actual restaurant. I think Panera Bread is over popular, just like Starbucks, so they both charge extremely steep prices for pieces of their excellence, which are actually very average meals, but it feels so cool to say you went to a place like Panera Bread, because others just want to know what you got.

I could have spent a little less at West Coast Sourdough and gotten ...

Check your order before you leave the restaurant! I ordered here twice in the last couple of days and both times they got my order wrong.

I asked for extra meat which does cost extra. And both times they did not add the extra meat even though its clearly stated on the receipt that is taped to the bag.

Ive emailed their customer service asking for a refund and instead they said they would credit me 20$ for the 1st order I placed a couple of days ago. Which I still haven't received yet.

Today the 27th of October 2023 I place the same order and before i leave i check my sandwiches and they didnt add the extra meat again. I then proceed back to the counter and asked them to fix the problem. The gentleman behind the counter does offer me a side of meat instead of making new ones and I agree. But now i have to wait 5 more mins which does cause me to be late to work.

I emailed them again today and will wait for...
