I had my wedding reception at Revolution Winery and Kitchen recently and it could not have been a better experience. Me and my husband had a small city hall ceremony and arrived a bit late to our dinner here but they totally didn't mind. We had secured the backroom where all the wine barrels are and it was decorated so beautifully with string lights, wine barrels, flowers, small votive candles on the black table cloth and a table already set up with amazing appetizers. We had a small group of about 9 people in total and they were all impressed with the quality of the food and wine. Two of our guests walked out with boxes of wine and even gifted us 6 bottles as well. We had the vegan crab cakes, carrot lox and deviled egg appetizers, all delicious and amazing. Our guests couldn't believe the crab cakes were vegan, they really thought it was real crab and just ate them all up. Our entrees were chargrilled steak with potatoes and brussel sprouts and salmon on a bed of rice pilaf. Everyone had a bite of both and the steak was really incredible, very smokey and perfectly cooked. The salmon was cooked just right, not too much so it was still flaky and fresh tasting. The sides were all amazing too. It was all served family style which created a more intimate atmosphere. I had provided a Spotify playlist which they played all throughout the dinner on bluetooth speakers and it was just loud enough to enjoy but not too loud to still have conversation. They had set up a little bar area where we first had drinks and stood around taking pictures, talking and enjoying the music before sitting down for the entrees. We later had our cake cut up and served, they even boxed it up to make it easy to take home. I can't recommend Revolution enough for a private dinner party or small event, it was by far the best part of our day and I can't wait to go back for our anniversary and other special occasions.

Update 12/14/24 - Still an amazing brunch spot. Menu changed a little bit, but still a hit. Food reasonably priced, especially for the quality. The fingerling potatoes are irresistible, both crispy, soft and flavorful. They are still on my mind. Service was solid and it was another great visit. After driving by Rev a million times to shop at the Sacramento Co-op, decided to finally go for brunch with my buddy. It was the right decision for many reasons. It's a popular spot, with seating both indoors and outdoors. The service was on point from the greeting to the table service throughout our meal. We kicked it off with mimosas that were bubbly and refreshing. It was a little too early for us to do wine, but I'll be back to try them and their regular menu. We ordered off their brunch menu, that had a plethora of delicious options. The pumpkin donuts were a sugar, cinnamon and pumpkin delight. The rest were fantastic, full of flavor and cooked just right. The prices were very reasonable across the menu too. Highly recommend and will be coming back soon.

A Fantastic Food & Wine Experience with Room for Service Improvement The food at this restaurant was absolutely insane—in the best way possible. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the wine pairings were truly next level. I had two glasses—one white, one red—and both complemented my Mediterranean salad beautifully. My dining companions ordered the chilaquiles and the springtime omelette, and we all agreed—everything was simply delicious. The ambiance was also great, with comfortable seating and a nice atmosphere. However, the service left a little to be desired. While our servers weren’t necessarily unfriendly, they weren’t particularly helpful or attentive either. The only standout was a third server who checked on us toward the end of our meal and was noticeably more friendly. If the service had matched the exceptional quality of the food and wine, this would easily have been a five-star experience. That said, if you’re looking for a top-tier food and wine experience in Sacramento, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

I want to begin with this, the service by our server was phenomenal. He was great, attentive, kind, and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine. My friend and I were very appreciative of his service. I cannot recall his name, but thank you!

So, you might ask, why a 1 star review? Well, let me tell you. Here is the story: my friend invited me to dinner as she signed up for a membership. She wanted me to experience the restaurant and wine as she really loved her previous experience. So, of course I said yes.

We ordered pastas and red wine, enjoying our meal. As we were finishing our wine and pouring the remainder of the wine from our decanter to our glasses, I noticed a dead roach at the bottom of the decanter. We were not only horrified, but extremely disgusted. Immediately, we ran the decanter inside to inform the staff to prevent a scene as we did not want other customers to not notice the large roach at the bottom of the jar.

As i waited outside horrified and traumatized, the manager I believe immediately discussed the cleanliness of the establishment, their pest control protocol, and justified that the insect was a cricket and not a roach. As I sat there in disbelief that instead of leading with apology, we were greeted with a rationale. My friend and I were in utter shock. However, in her lengthy explanation, she began to contradict herself and inform us that the bug might have actually been a beetle. We were again horrified as her story began to venture everywhere.

To be transparent,, they did comp our meal. But, I felt uneasy not just about the roach, but the lack of responsibility she did apologize after some time, but after their long winded rationale about the establishments pest control, we were horrified. Again, life happens, insects get into things, but instead of leading with a rationale, I would encourage kindness and an apology as the leading strategy: not a justification.

I cannot speak for my friend, but I’ll continue to go to Ro Sham...

I am actually hoping the owner or organisation supervisor sees this due to the fact that you guys NEED TO market your AMAZING gluten cost-free selection! If you are gluten totally free look no additionally, this location is AWESOME. They have a lot of choices and everything is so great! Out favorite appetiser was hands down the buffalo cauliflower, it remains in a gf tempura mixture as well as definitely tasty. My other half (that is no gf) claimed it was just one of the best cauli apps he's ever before had, as well as me being gf, we have had a reasonable share! They are located right Next door to Pushkins so obviously they take full advantage of getting The Most Effective gf rewards. They are clever. We likewise ordered the deviled eggs that were superb, the corn chowder that was terrific, the bread as well as oil plate (because just how could not I), and we shared the chicken sandwich that made me very happy. Generally when a dining establishment says they can make a sandwich or hamburger gf it usually includes a lot of lettuce (which I love) however to my shock, our chicken sandwich was served on a fluffy pushkins bun that had me squealing for joy. It likewise featured thick cut, flawlessly salted (finally somebody really did not exaggerate salt), fries that advised me of in n out, yet way better! As for the red wine, we tried several. Our favorite was the Elodie (I believe that's what it's called)! We attempted every one of them and were happily amazed with them! We will definitely be back as well as I...
