Strachan's Ice Cream & Desserts, Safety Harbor — Restaurant in Safety Harbor

To start, I have been a Strachan's customer going back to the mid 90s, original location. I have loved this company for a long time. One of my favorite flavors to get from them was Smurf. I loved how the flavor was just how I remembered it from when I was a kid. They don't always stock Smurf, and I have bought ice cream from all their locations at one time or another, and until now its always been consistent. Last week I got a pint of Smurf to take home from the Safety Harbor location. It was awful. I hope it was just a bad batch, but the strong fruity flavoring was so overpowering I couldn't eat it. The color of the ice cream was notably darker blue too. I wrote in to the company and asked them if this was a bad batch or if they changed the flavor, I even let them know I don't want a refund or a coupon, I just want to know if its always going to be this way and I got no response. I love Strachan's, but I'm really disappointed right now. I don't mind paying more for their product, but its gotta be good. They used to make the most amazing carrot cake too, but that's been off for a while now too. I'm not sure if they still sell them anymore. They hired the most bored and apathetic people for this location. We went there with over an hour before closing and were treated as is we were interrupting their union sanctioned break. They were most unhelpful, most uncourteous, passively aggressive, and "politely" rude. They seemed confused as to why we took 3 minutes to figure out what flavors we wanted in a store that serves many flavors. We asked questions about some of the flavors and they either couldn't answer them or answered them quickly as if to move on to something else. I know when someone doesn't want my money and I won't force them to take it. I'll never go back to this...
