Cousteau's Waffle and Milkshake Bar A1A — Restaurant in Saint Augustine Beach

Not worth the money at all, nor should you waste your time here.

We stopped by on our way back home and were excited to try the their dessert. The place is super cute when you walk in, however, the service and food is not worth what they charge.

The environment is cold, unfriendly and very unwelcoming when you first walk in. service is horrible and makes you feel unwelcome when you first walk in. You don't even feel comfortable asking a question on an item, because of how unwelcoming the environment is. You either feel like getting your order to go and get out of there ASAP or just skipping this place all together.

The food is mediocre. I had an iced coffee and it tasted gross. It was sour and the server didn't even ask if I wanted cream/sugar. I didn't see any cream/sugar and didn't want to ask him because he seemed so bothered from the time we entered. I didn't even know that coffee comes plain black. I honestly would've rather had starbucks.

Someone in my party ordered ice cream, and the cone was stale. Another person in my party ordered the waffle bites, they got cold/stale waffles. I will say, I enjoyed the strawberry and nutella waffle, but not to the point where I'd want to visit this...

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Cousteau’s, and it was an unforgettable experience. The shop itself exudes a charming, retro vibe with its colorful decor and cozy seating. However, what truly set this visit apart was the exceptional service provided by Caroline.

From the moment we walked in, Caroline greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and was incredibly patient as we deliberated over the impressive array of flavors. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and she offered insightful recommendations based on our preferences, which made the decision-making process a delight rather than a chore.

Beyond her expertise, Caroline's friendly demeanor and attentive service made the experience enjoyable. She engaged in pleasant conversation, making us feel like a valued customer rather than just another face in the crowd.

Maybe an off day(?) but definitely Expensive! Seems like the staff isn’t trained correctly. First of all the booths were dirty and apparently had been that way for a while. Crumbs and dried drips of ice cream like someone had an ice cream fight. Looked like someone might have wiped the table but it had some film on it. The waffle I chose was supposed to be light and crispy. Unfortunately it was Soggy with Way too many toppings. The toppings were supposed to be candied walnuts and bacon but Nothing was crispy or crunchy. I eat some of it but just wasn’t interested in the rest. My wife just wanted a chocolate milkshake but they put So much chocolate syrup (just vanilla soft serve with syrup at a milkshake shop??) in it she only drank a little bit and said we’ll need to take it home and try to mix in some milk to be able to...
