Carrera Wine Cellar — Restaurant in Saint Augustine

So we came to Saint Augustine for a birthday celebration. We decided to stop in to this winery and check out the vibe.

Upon entering we were greeted by the staff with smiles, even though they were wearing masks. They advised us that they had a patio in the back that you could sit outside in the fresh air. So we decided to go to the back and have a seat and place an order for some wine and cider.

The waiter, Josh, took our order and brought us our menus. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc and my husband ordered a pear cider. Both were very delicious and the service was impeccable. We actually fell in love with this place and spent a total of around 3 to 4 hours just hanging out and having drinks and ordered a charcuterie board.

We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back to try more things and hang out on the patio.

Just wanted to freshen my review. Wish I could give them 10 Stars! This week we had the pleasure of doing a private German Wine Tasting. From start to finish the owner Jess, Joe, Carol, Marci and all the staff were just amazing. They set up a wonderful tasting with the best snacks. It was so fun to share this time with friends that enjoy learning about wine and want to have fun! Amazing wine that we might never had tasted if we had not done this tasting. I have a new appreciation for German wine and a deeper appreciation for my friends at Carrera Wine room.

Went there while on a food and wine tour. Justin was our wine host and was incredible! Justin told us all about the rear garden where we would be doing our wine tastings which excited our group as we all wanted to be outside. A young woman who seemed to be the boss abruptly came by and said you don't have time for that “we are too busy and I need you inside”. During Justin’s presentation the same young rude woman interrupted again and told him to hurry. Although she did it with a fake smile our group all saw through her.
