A Must-Visit Historic Gem – St. Augustine, Florida Today, we had the incredible opportunity to explore one of the most iconic and historically rich towns in the United States – St. Augustine. This picturesque city truly feels like stepping back in time. With its beautifully preserved Spanish architecture and charming cobblestone streets, every corner tells a story.

We chose to do a self-guided walking tour, which was a fantastic way to take in the vibrant atmosphere at our own pace. There are also guided tours available for those who want to dive even deeper into the town's fascinating past. From colonial forts and old churches to quaint shops and delightful cafes, there's something here for everyone.

The Spanish influence is evident everywhere – in the architecture, the layout of the streets, and the cultural vibe of the town. We absolutely loved every moment and highly recommend visiting St. Augustine to anyone who appreciates history, beauty, and a relaxing, enriching experience.

Don’t miss it – it's a perfect destination for a day trip or a...

Very cool visitor center for anyone visiting St. Augustine! Right next to the parking deck ($15 for all day parking). And a short walk from St. George’s street & the Castillo de San Marcos. Best public bathrooms around the downtown. Could’ve been a little cleaner but still pretty nice. Likely the best bathrooms you’d find downtown. Visitor center has a small history area that shows the general history of the area. Really informative, quick, and free!

Great customer service & nice employees. They will help you get tickets or information for attractions in the area if needed. Required masks when I came (during Covid pandemic). Gift shop was nice but not very big. Also had a water fountain / bottle filling station, but the water wasn’t cold and...

This Information Center was absolutely beautiful with the welcoming staff being very informative. Great gift shop. Clean restrooms. And beautiful artifacts within. Years ago I was in St Augustine but only visited the Casillo de San Marco which was exceptional. This time I visited the town which was unique. Lots of boutiques and shops but I'm more interested in history and the historical pieces were wedged into the new places. And it was very crowded for January 2025. I think St Augustine has lost its charm because of the commercialization. Some historical areas were closed due to a wedding and another place didn't open til later in the day. So, besides the Information Center, the rest of downtown St. Augustine was disappointing.

Stopped in after utilizing the parking garage. My family stopped here on the way to Disney with no plan. We were greeted by an employee named Joyce. We couldn’t have been any luckier. Joyce gave us a map and laid out a plan to maximize our one day visit. She gave us a route, told us where to go first middle and how to finish our trip. She knocked it out of the park and our visit to St. Augustine couldn’t have been any better. Thank you Joyce! PS, my daughter loved the Scottish accent. We are greatful.
