Where do I begin. We waited an hour for our table, which in theory, is understandable for a Sunday and that wasn’t the worst part. The worst part was when we got to our table, the drinks we ordered, were already disgusting. The orange juice was absolutely awful, it was warm and chunky, and the water was the most flavorful thing we had all day. We ordered our food, which included mozzarella sticks and ranch. The mozzarella sticks tasted like they were sitting out all day. They were undercooked and the cheese was hard. The ranch had no seasoning and was disgusting. We then proceeded to get the rest of the food, the southern fried chicken meal and the biscuits and gravy. I HAVE NEVER had so much food that had no flavor, was unseasoned, and absolutely atrocious. All of the fried food, the potatoes, the chicken, and the French fries we ordered, tasted like dirty oil with nothing to taste except that. It was awful. The gravy had 0 seasoning, and tasted like chunky milk. Even covering the food in hot sauce did nothing for it. The bacon we got was clumped together with some burned parts and some raw parts which is just nasty. We never received the pancakes because the waitress forgot to put them in which happens, but they took them off and acted like they did us a favor even though we never received the food. They told us they took them off and asked how our food was and if we needed boxes which we proceeded to say no and obviously didn’t eat anything, which the waitress saw, but never said anything. After going up to pay, we let the hostess and manager know and the manager acted like we inconvenienced her, rather than taking off some of the food of the $55 ticket that we didn’t eat, she gave us 20% off and acted like taking the pancakes off was part of the discount. We still paid $45 for food we didn’t eat and for bad service. I’m unsure why this place had such great reviews, but it was disgusting. I wish I could rate it 0 stars. Also the seasoning on the food that you see, was done by us. Definitely not...
Read moreBeen coming here my whole life, but this recent experience will change that. My wife called a week in advance to see about getting a table for her birthday. They told her not a problem, call in morning of and you'll be take care of.
Called in that morning and she was berated by a man who called her a lier, saying no one would have told her that because they can't promise anything close to a reservation and proceeded to man-splain why there is no way she was told to call morning of. I was present for both conversations.
At the restaurant, after waiting an hour and fifteen minutes after we ordered to get our food, two members of our party threw up at the table after eating the scrambled eggs.
What happened next was a master class on how to blame customers. The same gentleman on the phone was telling us there's no way it was the restaurants fault and they probably came in sick. One of the people was my wife who was perfectly fine leading up to that moment. The manager started getting eggs and cartons from the back and practically shoving them in our faces showing how they don't use expired eggs. Which was weird because I don't care the date on the food you use, but when two perfectly healthy adults with no prior contact for weeks before that night threw up and they are the only two who ate scrambled eggs it seems like something that should be pointed out.
I've worked in restaurants for years. I was not trying to get free food or anything, I just wanted someone to look into the situation and they got super defensive.
If this is how management speaks to women and handles serious issues, I'm nervous about how they treat their staff.
All in all I really do love Ginghams and have for several decades now. But you have lost a...
Read moreI recently started going here and it truly is an amazing restaurant. I was shocked at how clean and well presented the store was at the very early hours of the morning. The food is very good as well as the prices, and the food comes quicker than expected even around 1-4 AM. The atmosphere that is created by the store is rich. Every employee there I've had serve me has been incredibly kind and patient. I never knew a restaurant could be so perfect, from the food, to the employees, and almost every experience I've had with other customers has been social and gives off a feeling that Ginghams is a happy place.
To add to my good review, I must state that recently I had a somewhat sour experience while dining there around 3 AM. Me and a friend had been seated next to four belligerent drunks, two women and two men who seemed to enjoy staring at our table and yelling over to us, they even approached our table to physically intimidate us, all of which we tried our best to ignore. The situation was handled perfectly by the Gingham's staff after I made them aware of the problem, me and my friend were given new seats, and a manager whose name I wish I learned so I could credit her commendable behavior talked to us to make sure that everything was okay on our end, after that the four drunks were politely confronted by the staff and forced to leave. I know this review is getting long but I need to make clear how amazing this response was as a customer, Gingham's has completely earned my trust as an establishment in record time.
My expectations of this restaurant have been entirely exceeded in every category. It is definitely the classiest 24/7 restaurant in the area, with better service and prices than you could ever expect from their...
