Update 3/3/2021
I decreased the star rating from 4 to 3 stars, due to failure of two of the six employees who were preparing and packaging food to wear a mask properly (masks worn beneath noses) in compliance with COVID-19 guidelines. I prefer my subs without a side of COVID-19. Photo provided.

I increased the star rating from 3 to 4 stars. Subs are consistently excellent. Deep-fried mushroom portions are skimpy. Phone issues appear to have been resolved, as have order accuracy issues. Well done.

I increased the star rating from 2 to 3 stars. Tubby's corporate office and the store manager both reached out to apologize and compensate for the previous bad experiences. The manager stated that the location has recently added another phone line to handle the call volume. I don't think many businesses would work this hard to address a customer concern. The food taste and quality has always been great. If order accuracy and phone service does improve, I will revise my review accordingly.

If you ever call this place, which is required during the current pandemic situation, you will be on hold for at least 15 minutes. This was the case well prior to the pandemic. At least half of the time, the order is wrong (usually missing items for which you've paid). If you have to call them back for the item they omitted, you have to spend another 15 minutes minimum on hold. Read moreI am giving them one star because of what I witnessed today... I usually love tubbys but as I patiently waited in line today I noticed that that employees that were handling the food were not wearing their masks correctly. Food service industries should have precautions in place to keep customers safe.. including wearing gloves and a mask that covers NOSE and mouth. This was not the case. I have to wear a mask correctly for a 13 hour hospital shift... there is no reason they can't wear theirs correctly too. Their should be consequences for these employees not following these rules and when I called to report this to the manager I was told that the higher up manager said they are only allowed to tell them to wear it correctly but they cannot inforce it... well maybe if I call the health department and file a complaint something will change because this is not safe...
Read moreIt’s 7/18/20 and I just got home with my incorrect order from Tubby’s at 13 and Harper. I ordered and paid for a large steak and cheese, extra cheese and no lettuce with a couple other things. When they handed me my order the girl politely stated one large steak and cheese, extra cheese and no lettuce and handed it to me with a smile. I took the time to tell her she was a “rockstar”
When I got home I had a small steak and cheese, no extra cheese, and lettuce on it.
Of course if I drove back up there they would remake the sandwich correctly. I don’t want to have to get back in the car to wait for what I should have in my house at the moment. It is sad that you have to take the time to unwrap your order to ensure a sandwich place can make a sandwich. I am very disappointed and will only stop there again if I have time to verify...
