RUTA TAINA RESTAURANTE — Restaurant in Saint Cloud

update: 03/07/2025 Today i decided to give another try to Ruta because even that one time i didn’t have the best experience i love their food, and i did have so many good experiences before. i have to said that food was amazing and Kaila is such a sweet heart with a great attitude a was so glad that she help Today. Definitely a 5 stars service.

i made an order on the afternoon by phone at 2:43 a girl take my order which was a chicken burrifongo and a cocunut lemonade i tell the girl that i want extra garlic sauce on it! everything was fine she said it will be ready in 20 minutes. i arrived around 35 minutes later and show up on the drive through and i take them a long time to notice it was someone there, after few minutes she open the window and said (yes) without any kind of welcoming fallowing i said that i have a pick up order , she said ok give me a moment i waited like 5 minutes she opened the widow to ask me what was my order and i told her, she closed the window again letting me wait another 5 minutes, opened again to charge me and said , (ok chicken burrifongo is 17 something) and i told her that i also ordered a coconut lemonade she was clueless! she ask someone for the lemonade and proceeded to charge me, she tell me that they will prepare the lemonade so i needed to wait! it was passed like 10 minutes And no one helps it was like they forgot that i was there in the meantime, I noticed that my burrifongo didn’t have any sauce Which I order extra sauce, they didn’t open the window yet so I knocked they look surprised like they forgot i was there on and told her that when ordered my food i ask for extra sauce, but it’s no sauce at all and can you please give me some garlic sauce and the lemonade that i was missing! she give me some attitude and you can tell she didn’t like what I told her she close the window and I hear her asking someone else if they put sauce on the food she took another good five minutes. It was like they went to pick up the coconuts from Puerto Rico to do that lemonade! and at the moment She opened the window again. She told Me that the food has sauce and I need to pay another extra dollar for the extra sauce and I literally show her my food with no sauce and she insist and charge me again! i did pay and wen i opened the sauce container it wasn’t even full, they didn’t give me any straws for my drink. They didn’t give me any napkins or utensils Overall, the service was so bad and I’m so disappointed because this was my favorite place for Spanish food. I’ve been going to this place since they just have a food truck many years ago And I always love the food, their food and their service I always recommend this place to everyone that asked me for a good Puerto Rican place And we’re all saying I always drive more than 30 Minutes to go there when I have other Puerto Rican places near to my house. saying that it doesn’t make any sense that I make an order by phone because I’m on a rush to pick it up on the drive-through and they are not Going to know what I ordered or the order is going to be incomplete and they will take their sweet time to do it if I had a time enough I will literally eat in the restaurant, but that’s the point of the drive-through. Hopefully, you guys Talk to your stuff so I can keep going...

Disappointed. First, I went there because the food on the Internet looks so good, that I said, I have to try it. When we were there, the place was full, so we waited to be seated. They offer us the menu to order ahead . We seated and make official our order and they give us a on the house appetizer for the wait, (it was nice) We still waiting for our food to comes and they bring just one of two appetizer that we ordered. We are still waiting and they bring us the food. I keep wondering what happens why the order was wrong, I ordered tostones without garlic sauce, and they bring it completely covered on garlic sauce, It was like tostones with extra garlic sauce. I told them about it and they brought me another order but this time the tostones were completely burnt. I didn't complained I just asked for mayo Ketchup sauce. Also, they never bring our beverages, so we have to ask for it at the same time that we ask for the sauce. They just bring two beverages of 3 and no sauce. I tried to eat my food even all that troubles; my chicken breast was so dry and tasted like burnt that even the sauce that the chicken brought wasn't enough to hide the burnt taste. My husband food was covered on garlic sauce, too. They never bring my third beverages. When my husband went to pay, it was everything on the ticket, even the drink and appetizer they never brought us. They subtract them at that moment. Unfortunately, I will never comeback there, Too many...

I live in GA and my little brother told me about this establishment. I knew when I touched down we had to come visit, and so glad we did! From the moment we entered the restaurant we were welcomed and greeted with a smile. Laiza was AMAZING! We were a party of 9…with 4 more arriving a little after with our party and she did her thing. Never did you see her overwhelmed and or stressed because it was busy! She took our orders and brought them out and remembered everything everyone ordered. She made sure we had everything we needed and were satisfied. We had the Burrifongo with steak and OMG whoever came up with this, you are the BOMB it was so delicious, perfectly seasoned and stuffed to perfection! My daughter had the jibarito with pernil and she was in heaven! We have a spot here in GA we get ours from and she stated it was better than theirs. My other daughter had the Cuban sandwich and she really enjoyed it! We also got a relleno de papa….bomb and a chicken Arepa…my daughter really enjoyed it. Now let’s get to this Empanadilla de Pastelon…who thought of this?!?! When I tell you that I was shocked and in disbelief, believe me! It’s a MUST try!!! It’s not on the menu, but be sure to ask!!! Overall, I had an amazing experience in this establishment and when I’m in town, I have my new favorite food spot!!! Now stop reading...
