Update: they've been open a while now. Run smoothly and are regularly busy but not usually too crowded. I love having one in town! ______________________ Café Zupas just opened a couple of weeks ago, it has been really busy every time I've gone, but the line moves quickly and I enjoyed the food all 3 times I've had it this past week. This was the first time I felt there was a small problem, one of my friends ordered the strawberries and creme creme brulee and it was really kind of runny. We were told (after it was bought and she was trying it) that it was supposed to be like that but it seemed really liquidy and running, much more like a pudding that didn't set up right. The worker (who was more helping but tables) apologized but didn't offer and solutions, my friend asked if they could replace it and after checking, she said they would be happy to and bright her the chocolate mousse cake instead. We had tried that one already, I loved it. Wondering if the creme brulee with fruit doesn't set up well because of the fruit? But if that is the case, then it would be good to change the name to strawberries and cream creme brulee pudding or something so people know it's supposed to be that way. Personally, I have loved all 3 if the salads, I love that they cut the lettuce in smaller bites that are easier to eat when you talk instead of stuffing huge chunk of lettuce in your mouth as you're trying to carry on a conversation with someone. The salad toppings are enough to make the salad really good, but it doesn't look like a ton and might be nice to have a little more of each topping, but you can ask for that when they make your salad and there are tons of options for extra toppings. The sandwiches were good, rolls were soft, and the chocolate covered strawberry was delicious but smaller. Personally I'd rather have a good small strawberry than a larger less ripe strawberry. It was included with the meal and I enjoyed it as a small added treat. I didn't try the soup but it smelled good. I am thrilled to have a Zupas down in St George. I was impressed with the food each time I went and I felt they are doing a good job with service. I hope they stick around and I will definitely be back.

Food has never disappointed. Service can be great or lacking, depending on the day and staff on the clock. Seems to be a training issue. The to-go pickup shelf system is odd, since anyone can just come in and grab someone else's food on purpose or by accident (not to mention handle the bags and spread germs). And there aren't heat lamps (for hot soups/sandwiches) or ice/chillers (for salads) or anything to keep the food at proper holding temperatures while waiting to be picked up. So be sure to be there right at the time they give you to pick up (or earlier), even if it's not quite ready. Otherwise your food will get to room temperature quickly. Or someone else might run off with it entirely. Highly recommend the Cuban grilled pork sandwich and red pepper lobster bisque (just the right amount of spice). Glad to finally have a Cafe Zupas in Southern Utah!

From chocolate strawberry’s, to salads in a plastic box, Cafe Zupas has you covered! It’s a gourmet oasis in a desert filled with competitors of greasy regret, while other restaurants sling mystery meat and fry everything in sight, Zupas offers fresh ingredients that don’t come with a side of shame and increased waist line. Their soups actually taste like someone cared, and their salads aren’t just lettuce pretending to be a meal. Even the sandwiches feel like they were made by humans, not robots fueled by oil and apathy. While other restaurants are busy deep-frying your arteries, Zupas quietly hands you a spoonful of actual nutrition. And when the world collapses under the weight of its own saturated fat, only those who chose wisely will still be standing…

Extreme disappointment!!!I The avocado chop salad looked lovely. So I ordered one to be shared by three of us for dinner at home. I planned to augment with some Romaine lettuce and more grape tomatoes. Much to my disappointment, the full-size bowl was only half full, and had the full cup of salad dressing in the center, thereby reducing even more of the salad. The salad that I received look nothing like the picture on the website. The large size salad, maybe had three slices of avocado and a smattering of roasted broccoli. There was no baby butter lettuce instead, it was purple leaves all in all, if I could give whoever made this salad an F and walk them out the door, I would. As for the management, you do nothing to establish your brand here in southern Utah with salads like this and a bait and switch delivery. In the past, I have ordered many meals from Zupas, but never again. Also, the comment about the strawberries from another poster… You used to have nice plump, ripe strawberries, dipped in chocolate. The strawberry we received last night was tiny, green and white unripe and rotten. Nobody wanted it whereas usually we fight over them your quality has gone downhill in just a few short years, but your prices remain steadfastly high, just another reason for disappointment, and justification to never come back. My rating went from a 3 down to a 1. I would’ve given a negative integers if I could have. By the way, this wasn’t a reactionary post. I let myself sleep on it for a night to think about it. I’m still really...

Okay, I really like the food from Zupas. I often come here when I need something a little more fresh and not enough time to make my own meal. I'm pretty regular here, BUT I am REALLY frustrated with the attention to detail. I use the Zupas app and often use the good life lane. I get the same thing almost every time. My issue often is with my salad. I will often pay the extra cents for extra BBQ sauce. It is a complete hit or miss on whether or not enough was even put on top of the salad, and I rarely get it on the side and have to ask. I hate spending the extra money when I'm not getting it even on the side. I understand mistakes happen, which is why it hasn't bothered me up until now. But this time was the thing that made me want to write this review. I got mainly lettuce and absolutely NO trace of BBQ sauce. How can you make a salad for someone without paying attention to even the most basic ingredients that it is supposed to come with?!? It had 3 small pieces of chicken, 1 cherry tomato, and barely any corn or black beans, just lettuce. I'm grateful they left off what I didn't want, but seriously!! Please pay attention to the details on the order and actually put what it is supposed to have on it. And if I could suggest, please put the dressings and sauces on the side consistently, especially if they pay extra for the To-Go line, so the customer can do it themselves. It would be greatly appreciated! I would really hate to stop coming here, but if nothing changes soon, you will lose...
