Seems like only way to create a new review as to edit my one from four years ago. We did return to this location in between four years and today and had a somewhat better experience. However, we returned today and found it was even worse than four years ago. Something has changed. Different manager; someone who doesn't care? We found food offered that was down to last one or two enchiladas for example; hard, dry, not inviting at all, but they were not going to refresh that and other dishes until someone took those last items! Many dishes, carrot & potato salad and other dishes had that strange sheen that tells you the dish was left over last night or had been sitting for a lot time - like you see in the deli at the grocery store - and you know better than to take any. Many dishes were sitting empty and remained that way throughout our visit. Final straw, however, was the couple walking in with a dog in a tote, which was then taken out, set on the chair beside them and feed from their plate! Complained but staff had no interest in hearing or doing anything about it. Clearly not a service animal! Bad, Bad experience.
Unfortunately, this location seems to have steadily declined. Food variety, quality and quantity on counter have all lessened. We also experienced seats with damaged cushions still in service, the salad area with limited quantities in the serving containers and fewer condiments. We have been going to this location since it originally opened and I don't know if it is the quality of managers they have employed or some corporate decisions but through time we have experienced momentary and significant improvements in everything and then the next time it is clear something has changed and everything has degraded. Read moreI'm not sure if they have had a change in management or if it's has changed hands but I use to love eating there, however I was very disappointed indeed with this visit. Not only did we have to move the dirty dishes off the table from the previous customer and dry the table off and finish wiping it down once we had move the dirty plates, but the food was not HOT, and as for dessert! Well all I have to say is WHAT DESSERT? there was no one working on the dessert counter and all at was there when I went up was Carrot Cake, Rice Crispie cake half dipped in Dark chocolate. (which I am not a fan off), cotton candy bags and ice cream, oh and a little bit of chocolate or banana pudding. If I had known that they were my only options I wouldn't have gone. I can make those myself at home. Normally when we go my Dad has to have his fix of their fudge but sadly there wasn't any. Infact there wasn't even any of the extra yummy toppings for my icecream that I was force to Seattle for except hot fudge or hot caramel. So very disappointing 😞. We were hoping that this visit would be better than our last visit when none of us would touch the salad bar because there was a dry film over everything indicating that they had not been changed in a while and had been allowed to dry out. Unfortunately for us this will be our last visit to the Golden Corral, as we have found that despite the fact that the Golden Corral has a wider choice of meats, Chuck-a-Rama seems to be besting them at the moment. I have never seen empty dessert plates or dried out salad dishes. Sorry Golden Corral but your slipped up this time for me. Maybe I'll come back in 6 months time and give you a chance to win...
Read moreAs it is I don't ever eat there because I think the place isn't very clean. But today I went because I received a gift card for a xmas gift and I figured what the heck I'll just go spend it. WELL the gift card didn't work because their register wouldn't read it but the money is on there. instead of trying to fix it . They said they couldn't take it. Me thinking I could speak to a manager and get it resolved, I paid because there were people in line behind me and i didn't want to make them wait. So. I sat down and asked to speak with management. He came over, and said he could check the balance. He wasn't able to and told me I had to check the balance online or over the phone. So I continued to finish my meal. Before I left I checked the balance online and sure enough it said that there was a full amount and no transaction history. So On our way out I showed him and he went and did something and came back with some other guy who didn't even tell me who he was, and that guy said that it just wasn't reading the card and next time they had to type it in. I asked if there was any way he could just give my cash back and he said he couldn't because we'd been there for more than 30 mins and he couldn't void the transaction. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Im sure they could've done something to fix it if they really wanted to. So now I'm out $30 and stuck with a gift card that doesn't even work and they won't refund my money....
