Staff in this location are terrible. My daughter had been asking me to take her to Ulta so she could spend her Christmas money. We drove over an hour to get to this store. The staff in store wasn’t particularly helpful, and lots of items were low or out of stock. The one item I wanted wasn’t stocked, but said it was available in store when I checked online. I would have liked to ask an employee to check for it for me, but after several failed attempts to speak to someone, I decided I’d just order it online later. When we went to pay I told the cashier no less than three times that my daughter had 2 Visa gift cards to use for her things and then I would buy the rest with my card. Even when I asked questions to her, she just stared back at me blankly and then told me to just swipe them. After using both gift cards, I was unable to use my debit card for the rest of the transaction. The cashier helping us asked a coworker for help and was told they are only able to accept 2 card transactions and then the rest has to be paid for with cash. Putting the stupidity of this policy aside, it’s pretty ridiculous that employees who are assigned to take money during their shift aren’t even aware this is a policy. There were multiple opportunities for any issue to be avoided during this interaction when I spoke with my cashier beforehand. After her coworker explained this to us, the cashier looked at me and states “did you hear that?” Unfortunately, I only had a debit card to pay with so I had to ask for the gift card transactions to be voided. The manager that assisted with that was just as rude as the cashier. The attitudes of employees really spoiled the day as much as the annoyance of having to deal with the correcting the transaction. Though, if I’d seen the previous review regarding racist employees before going in, we wouldn’t have made the trip at all. Hopefully this helps save someone else the hassle of going in...
Read moreThis location stole $25 from me last year. I had a Visa gift card and told the cashier when I was there that I no longer had it and wanted to do an exchange on an item instead of a refund. She promised me that she could refund only the amound I paid on my credit card and not have to complicate things with the amount I spent on my gift card. She was wrong. They refunded to my gift card, which was trashed at the point of sale so NOT in my possession, and then refused to give me the money back OR give me store credit. They blamed me and said they would do nothing. Even when the manager called her support line and asked how to undo it they told her it was within her discretion to credit me. She refused. It was a gift for my birthday, too. I also called their customer service line 1-2 times and was treated without empathy. I again felt blamed and they said I need to have the gift card or know the number's on it to be refunded. I'm so paranoid someone else will devalue me as a customer that I now take photos of all gift cards given to me so I can avoid this ever happening to me again. Not a huge amount, I know! But that is the reason why they should have credited me on top of it being their fault. Ulta makes a ton of money. I'm just the little guy in this scenario. I refuse to shop with them ever again and tell other's of my poor treatment. If they'd correct their error, I'd reconsider shopping there in the future. But with the pandemic and inflation, I really don't have $25 to throw away. Thanks Ulta.
Since Ulta responded on 7/23/22 they say they will make improvements based on my feedback... well don't start tomorrow love. Try now, with me. They made NO apologies and NO effort to rectify their error. Their comment is an attempt to save face and is actually working against them. Would love to give this location 0 stars. They don't care about their consumers; just about getting...
Read moreAs a Licensed Beauty Professional, and even just a regular customer. I am appalled at the customer service at this store. I really expected higher quality service from a company so well known. When approaching the checkout with my beauty products I was completely ignored and the workers continued to conversate, but then as im finally getting rang up (wasn't really acknowledged though) the cashier started registering me in their customer system, because I had informed her I was a first time shopper, the girl completely misspelled my first and last name and then my email as well. Not just a few letters either...it looked like a complete different language....I was quite shocked , English is my first language and I spoke very clearly. Upon seeing the mistake when completing my purchase, I asked if I could correct it because everything was incorrect. The cashier shrugged and then an alternate employee offered to assist me after I was done paying, then while I'm still paying the original cashier she tried to keep my change, she was obviously struggling to count , type etc. not paying attention to anything. Perhaps under the influence of a substance or maybe just rude? But honestly her incompetence and treatment of a customer was so alarming. Ill probably not go back again. I gave the 2 stars rather then 0 or 1 because the 2nd employee was much more coherent and "normal" and helped make the situation a lil better but correcting my email etc. If the manager reads this , the cashier that helped me has reddish hair and a dog tattoo on her arm. Maybe drug test her? Or re-train. Really sad , I...
