My experience with Mo’ Bettahs began about 18 hours prior to ordering. I was searching for a lunch option in St George, UT for a work trip that had us in the area for about 3 hours. I had a pretty tight window to order the food, have it prepped and get it delivered. All the indications online showed that I would order and use food delivery service to have the food delivered on time. I called the restaurant right after they opened and asked to speak with the manager. I explained our situation and the narrow window we had to make this all work out. Marco (the manager) assured me, prior to departing Albuquerque, NM for St George, that the food would be ready on time and could be delivered by one of the delivery services. Upon landing in St George I learned that the food was in fact ready, but that our delivery had not been scheduled. Not having a vehicle readily available for us to come pick up the food, Marco went well above and beyond and offered to deliver the food to the airport for us so that o ur passengers would have their lunch before taking off for the next destination.
Marco went well out of his way to see that our order was fulfilled and that we had the best experience possible ordering with Mo’Bettahs. The food was excellent, my passengers were extremely happy and I put this restaurant on my short catering list for quick, delicious lunch options when we have future flights through St George.
Already having an exceptional experience, my gratitude for Marco extended even farther when I realized that I had not kept the correct receipt for my order to submit for reimbursement… I called the location over two weeks after ordering and Marco personally tracked down the transaction and sent me a copy of the receipt!...
Read moreI’m consistently disappointed with the service and cleanliness at Mo’Bettahs and my last visit was definitely my last.
On my most recent visit, the person behind the counter started making my plate before realizing that they had messed up on one of the orders ahead of mine. When it came to serving the meat I chose, they scooped it out of the wrong order and put it in mine. That’s borderline gross and unacceptable but I didn’t say anything.
But next they inexplicably set my plate aside to serve others behind me. The food was all out and there…they weren’t waiting for an ingredient.
After about 10 minutes of confusion on my part while my food sat cold, I kindly asked if they could finish my order. The young person behind the counter rudely cut me off saying “we’re very busy, we’ll get to you when we can.” I walked out.
I’ve never had service this bad before, but it’s always inconsistent regardless of which location you visit. Every store is always kept unclean with ingredients spilled everywhere on the serving line. Tables are always dirty. The food isn’t good enough to deal with...
Read moreMo’ Bettahs is delicious but man, their menu’s got me feeling suspicious… The Katsu Chicken was absolutely eyeing me in my rear-view mirror on my drive home with the take out, which is extra weird because everyone knows, that once you cook a chicken, it can’t drive anymore.
Also, I swear on my grandma’s Butter Bicuit recipe (also delicious) that the Teriyaki Chicken was following me around the Target Shopping Center, which happened nearly three weeks after visiting Mo’ Bettahs, lurking behind endcaps and pretending to browse discount socks, like a weirdo.
Their food tastes so good it’s criminal, but now I’m having nightmares about swimming laps in an Olympic-sized pool of macaroni salad while lifeguards scream at me in Hawaiian outfits.
Worse yet, I keep jolting awake imagining I’m being waterboarded by an outlaw Girl Scout troop with Mo’ Bettahs delicious and dangerous Spicy Yeobo Sauce (which wouldn’t be a terrible way to go).
It’s like tasty PTSD over here. Still, I’d go back tomorrow because nothing hits like that islander lunch. Just wish my food would stop stalking me afterward!...
