Seventh Street Cafés — Restaurant in Saint Joseph

I had Delish Bakery make my wedding cake. The cake tasted good. HOWEVER, she was supposed to have my cake delivered to my venue by 3:00 p.m. because my reception started at 5:30 p.m. She did not have my cake delivered until 6:30 p.m.! She interrupted my reception and not one of my guests got to even see how the cake looked because the cake cutting was scheduled for 6:40 p.m. She had my father's cell phone number to call in case of an emergency. She did not call my dad until she was 30 minutes away which was during the wedding ceremony. Before the ceremony I had no idea the cake wasn't there until my very nice photographer came back from the venue and informed me that there wasn't a cake on the cake table. So I was freaking out right before it was my time to walk down the aisle. The baker said she would give me a partial refund on June 8th, but here it is June 25th and still no refund. Was told to try 7th Street Cafe by my son. My wife and I tried it one afternoon and ordered the fish taco special with soup. After ordering, we saw a few other menu items that looked interesting including the stuffed waffle. The fish tacos were delicious. I rarely like the fried fish option but it was crispy and tasty and perfect, even with lettuce instead of traditional cabbage, it worked. The pot pie soup was amazing. Upon a return visit the stuffed waffle was so good and the club on croissant with chicken, broccoli soup was delicious. I assume the gentleman at the counter is the owner because he appears to love his job and is enthusiastic about the place, food and assistance in helping with your choice. Great place. So...

I was really disappointed by the customer service from Delish. I am planning my wedding, and after looking at the website, decided to call for a price estimate. When I called, I was told that unless I had a photo of what exactly I wanted done, that there was no way she could give me an estimate. When I replied that I had reasonably simple tastes, that we only wanted frosting and a small amount of decor, on a 3 tier cake, she basically laughed at me and told me that when I had an idea of what I wanted to call back.
