I’ve never experienced such blatant disrespect at a business. My cousins and I, three Black Muslim women, walked into Tii Cup and were completely ignored for almost 10 minutes. When the worker finally came out from the back, he gave us multiple nasty looks like we didn’t belong there. When we politely said “excuse us,” he responded with “you’re excused” in a rude, sarcastic tone and walked away again. I even asked him directly if we had done anything to offend him, he just stared and stayed silent. When I tried to ask about my drink, he gave me another nasty look and completely ignored me. At that point, we felt uncomfortable, unwelcome, and disrespected. My cousin returned her food and asked for a refund, and honestly, that was the only right choice. Read moreI’ve tried quite a few drinks here and the only one that I didn’t care for was the Oreo snow with Matcha - saying it out loud again, I hear it, odd combo, I don’t know what I was thinking.
I usually go to the West Saint Paul location so I was pretty thrilled when this one opened up as it is in walking distance to my house so I’ve been walking to get a Vietnamese coffee in the morning instead of having to drive to the WSP one.
