I dropped in to Ichiro Ramen for lunch after a movie on a Saturday, upon arrival I was immediately greeted and seated by a friendly staff, and drink orders were swiftly taken. The dining area was split level with both booths and tables, full windows lit much of the restaurant, which was especially nice during this mostly sunny day. I ordered a matcha milk tea and honey dew milk tea without boba, which were fantastic tasting, not too sweet. I ordered soup dumplings, Tuna Sushi Tacos, Edamame and a pork bun for appetizers, the soup dumplings were solid and provided a good chew, the pork bun was fluffy and the chashu was melt in the mouth good, the tuna on the tuna sushi tacos was somewhat too sweet, however the fried nori shells were pleasant, and the edamame was steamed and salted well. The chicken katsu don was well seasoned and perfectly crispy, the katsu was not too soft or hard and the chicken was moist, the ajitama was a truly nice touch that elevated the donburi experience, the steamed rice was an average medium grain, the Unagi Don was well seasoned with full cuts of unagi smothered in unagi sauce, the pairing with their fried rice added a nice combination of flavor, the fried rice wasn’t overly complicated with unnecessary fillers, primarily flavored with eggs, soy sauce, and sesame notes, the only criticism I have of the donburi was the bed of cabbage, which isn’t typical of a donburi and could have lead to soggy bottoms of the katsu, which wasn’t the case in this instance due to the freshness and swiftness of our server Emily, however if you order a katsu don online I would suggest asking for no cabbage or cabbage on the side to avoid potentially compromising the crispness of the katsu. I also ordered an oreo bingsu and mango bingsu, both were sweet melt in your mouth treats, the added whipped cream was a little indulgent and too sweet for my taste, but if you’re looking for something sweet I highly suggest trying the bingsu here. Overall the experience was great here, fantastic and friendly service with a smile from Emily, and the cooks do a good job of crafting solid dishes for a nice...

I’m hoping I can come to love this place as it is so close to home and has so many options. The Service was great and they were very attentive. There are lots of options on the menu so everyone should be able to find something. We did unfortunately leave not feeling the best with soured stomachs but are chalking it up to hopefully a fluke.

I personally am a sucker for chicken hibachi so that is what I picked. Choice of white rice or fried rice, and it comes with miso soup and salad. The soup was alright, the dressing on the salad was gritty but had good flavor, I just couldn’t get past the texture. The hibachi meal itself was chicken with mushrooms, zucchini, carrots and onions all covered in sauce. My sauce had a lot of jelly pieces in it so I had a feeling it had been kept cold and re heated. They chicken was a little rubbery and I wish it would have been seasoned and precooked cooked then sautéed in the sauce and the roasted veggies on the side with some seasoning in stead of everything covered. My Husband ordered the miso soup and the soup dumplings. The dumplings came out in a cute container but they were room temp at best. He enjoyed the miso soup the most. We will be back to try some other unique items and hope the second...

I was very excited to see a ramen restaurant opening not too far from me, so for them to blow my expectations out of the water was a very nice surprise. I'll even go out on a limb and say this is my favorite ramen that I've had here in the States. The broth was very rich and flavorful, and complemented the ingredients perfectly. They do have an option to add a second helping of noodles, but the portion size was large enough that one round is filling enough. The menu also has a variety of other entrees and sides in case you're wanting something lighter or just aren't into ramen.

For a small location like this, I was surprised how many tables they were able to fit, so hopefully long wait times shouldn't be too much of an issue down the road. They made use of the space pretty well and it feels very cozy and welcoming.

I'm definitely excited to visit again and try something new. And if I could make any suggestion, I would like to see black garlic as an available topping! That would be a great addition with the...

Saw that they opened up a new restaurant at the old Mandarin location next to Schnucks and they've improved on the space. Nice, clean and modern with 3 TV's. There's a small sitting area on the top floor next to the cash register and a bigger seating area a few steps down with a booth. Tried the Super Ichiro Ramen and the pork charsu was delicious! The grilled chicken has a lot of flavor too. The broth was not as hot and not as rich as other ramen places I have been to and the ramen was a little thinner. Also, the egg was overcooked. It came out fast and was pretty filling. They have a lot of other options for ramen and some lunch specials. They even carry bingsu and a variety of boba teas. Service was attentive.
