Mudslingers Drive-Thru Coffee — Restaurant in Saint Peters

It's definitely convenient and I definitely like being able to have this mudslingers location right up the street at Jungermann from my home. I really did not want to give one star but the service I received yesterday was unacceptable. I normally come between 1 and 4:00 those are happy hour hours. At least that's what the sign says in the Drive-Thru and that's what I've been told every time by every employee up there. But unfortunately yesterday was a different experience. The young lady was very unprofessional and unkind. It was 2:45 when I got to the drive-thru speaker. I was the only one in line. She did not say anything for at least 5 to 7 minutes. I just sat there. I finally got to the window to get my drink and it was 2:57 pm. She told me that happy hour was over. And my drink with full price. I replied to her., I thought happy hour was from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.? She said they must have changed it I don't know. I said okay well if they changed it I totally understand but the sign outside still says 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. she wanted to argue about it I wasn't into all that. I simply wanted to get my coffee and leave. I wanted to ask what her name was. But I already knew she was already very much standoffish and she probably wouldn't have gave it to me. I was excited to try this place when I found it on Google maps while passing through the area. The concept of a drive through coffee shop is so fun, and the place looked cute! Service was quick and friendly, too.

However, the most important part, the coffee, was disappointing. I ordered a regular hot latte. A latte is supposed to be just espresso and steamed milk, but the latte I received was sweetened to the point I could not stand to drink it.

Given that it’s a drive though place, I was already halfway home before I realized. So going back to ask for a remake wasn’t an option. I’m not sure if it was just a mistake, or if Mudslingers makes all of their lattes sweetened by default? If you like a sweet latte, there’s nothing wrong with that. But I was quite disappointed because I could tell the espresso was good quality, but was unable to drink it due to how sickeningly sweet it was.

I’d surely give them another chance if I’m ever in the area again - but make sure to specify to leave out...

Upon arrival at 8am the drive-thru was moving pleasantly swiftly, and clean and well kept. The staff greeted me immediately and were pleasant and polite. I ordered a matcha latte, and bacon, egg and cheese croissant. The matcha latte was pleasantly smooth, creamy, earthy and sweet, but not too sweet; which in my experience most of the big chains make matcha lattes way too sweet, but mudslingers balances the notes nicely. The bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, was a solid offering, a better quality egg than some other fast food options; light, airy, and covered with American cheese, and soft bacon. I was happy with my first experience at Mudslingers, and I would recommend the Matcha Latte here in...
