had the absolute pleasure of being served by Megan at The Ball, and I can honestly say she is one of the best bartenders I’ve ever encountered. From the moment I walked up, she had this warm, welcoming energy that immediately made me feel comfortable. She has that rare ability to make you feel like more than just a customer—she makes you feel like a guest she’s genuinely happy to serve.

Megan is not only friendly and approachable, but she’s also incredibly skilled at her craft. Every drink she made was perfectly balanced, creative, and beautifully presented. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, because nothing felt rushed or careless—each cocktail had that extra touch that set it apart. The Ball delivered an awesome Sunday afternoon experience, with great service, delicious cocktails, and an upbeat but manageable atmosphere.

Food: We tried the cake balls for dessert — sweet, doughy, and very similar in texture to a Starbucks cake pop. A fun and fitting treat for the setting, but definitely on the indulgent side.

Service: Alyssa (sp?) was excellent — warm, attentive, and patient with our questions. She even nailed a custom drink recommendation for me that ended up being my favorite of the day. Service was quick without being rushed.

Ambiance: True to its pink disco theme, the space was lively, but not overwhelming. Dance music played throughout, setting a fun tone without drowning out conversation. The decor added to the experience without feeling cheesy.

Value for Price: Their Sunday half-off signature cocktail deal was a huge plus. That said, even with the special, the final bill was higher than expected for a Sunday afternoon. Drinks are fantastic, but budget accordingly.

Cleanliness: Bar area and seating were clean and well-maintained — no complaints here.

Disappointing Experience at The Ball

From the moment we arrived, the overall experience at The Ball was disappointing. The atmosphere felt off right from the start, beginning with an unpleasant encounter while waiting in line.

The security staff—particularly a young woman at the entrance—created a very negative first impression. Her demeanor came across as arrogant and unnecessarily rude, setting a confrontational tone rather than a welcoming one. It felt as though her approach was more about intimidation than ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for guests.

Unfortunately, this interaction impacted our entire visit and made it difficult to enjoy the venue or feel comfortable. When guests come to a place like this, the expectation is to have a good time in a positive, respectful environment. Sadly, that was not the case here.
