Update: My original review noted 5 stars (in 2020) but now it’s 2023 and I decided I need to update. This is after 3 years of trying almost everything. Both special occasion and regular treats are hit or miss. Off flavors, textures, etc. For example, my partner got me a lavender cake for my birthday and not one person in my family including me could eat it because it was drowning in lavender flavor. No other discernible flavors, and they didn’t seem to care (service is hit or miss honestly) which is a shame considering I’ve always been a loyal customer. I have had some great desserts like the pudding cups, strawberry hand pies, etc. but overall over the last year I’ve gotten maybe 1 thing I’ve loved over the several trips. Please work on your flavors… the apple hand pie, flourless cake, banana nut bread, nonaimo bar, and many others, have something very off about the flavor. A couple people I know agree it used to not be like this. Just a heads up because you guys were my favorite bakery. I just go to Valkyrie now. Original: Hands down the best vegan bakery in St. Pete, and arguably, the world. I love that I can go in there and get anything I want (since I don’t eat dairy) and will never be disappointed. I’ve also gotten two custom cookie cakes made for special occasions with my partner. We loved them equally both times. The staff is also great! Just overall a very welcoming environment filled with nice people, beautiful decor & plants, and delicious treats.

KEITH LEE STYLE REVIEW - 2/10. DO NOT GO. You will legitimately find better baked goods at Publix. Don't waste your time and money. Tried the chocolate, orange cream, key lime custard and "blueberry pancake" cinnamon roll. The Dread (the bad) Customer service was terrible. Felt like I was treated like I was riffraff or something. I come in there to spend 50 bucks only to get looked down on by some unsightly, snotty, Daria-reject cashier... I just wanted vanilla cake and I guess that was too difficult? Pointed me to prepackaged cupcakes... Tf? At a bakery??? Yikes. The chocolate cake was some of the worst cake I've ever had. I'm saying this literally. It was dry as hell. For 7 bucks for a slice. I threw it out. (0/10) The key lime custard was ok, but the graham crust at the bottom was rock hard & burnt. (4/10) The "blueberry pancake cinnamon roll" literally just takes like a tough cinnamon roll. The only time you get "blueberry" was when you are the SINGLE blueberry on top. What a joke. (3.5/10) The price is NOT worth it. Little higher than most bakeries in the area with worse food. The Solace (the good) Easy to access location. Not in the direct heart of downtown so it was easier to park and access. There was seating both indoor and out. The orange cake had good texture sponge and a light flavor. (7/10) That was the best thing there. You will legitimately find better baked goods at Publix. Don't waste your time and money.

This place has an amazing selection of deserts! I tried the cookie sandwich, cookie butter blondie, turtle cheesecake and the death bar. The only one that was absolutely horrible was the turtle cheesecake. The cheesecake had the texture of flan and had a weird bitterness to it. There was nothing cheesecake about it. I wouldn’t be able to tell it was cheesecake if I ate it blindfolded. The other deserts though were spot on! The middle of the cookie sandwich was so rich and creamy. There was salt sprinkled on the cookies too that really set it off! 3 out of the 4 deserts were a 10/10. But the turtle cheesecake was a total miss. I wish the hours were a little later so you could come here for desert after dinner. I’d love for them to do a collaboration with a local ice cream shop and make some of their deserts into ice cream flavors. Or even sell some of their desert bars to ice cream places so people can have this with their ice cream. Total spent on the 4 deserts was $27. Would come back. Great flavors and cool new twists on deserts. I’ll enjoy coming back to see what else they make in the future.

We have been longtime supporters of Valhalla from their central Florida location. Food wise this location is pretty decent, but their customer service needs a TON of work, my wife & I have been to this location about 7 or 8 times, & every visit seems worse than the last. The people behind the counter are pretentious, boarder-line rude, & could care less about helping or serving the customers. I would love to try a coffee one visit, but it seems like we are always bothering the people working behind the counter to just basically reach down & grab our baked goods, I couldn't even imagine how dirty of a look I would recieve trying to order a coffee because the attitude & side eyes I received just asking someone to reach down & grab a baked good is enough to make me want to leave immediately everytime. There's been occasions where we are trying to decide on what to order & the person behind the counter just keeps asking is that it? Is that it? Is that it? Is that it? Is that it? Is that it? With a very rude & condescending attitude. There's literally 2 dozen items that are all vegan & for most vegans this is an overabundance of choices, some visits we would've bought considerably more items if the person behind the counter didn't seem so quick to run us both up out of the store. Also the majority of the baked items we've had have been super dry, almost like day old product. If the customer service was up to par then the dry staleness of the overall products wouldn't bother us so much, but the combination of both has made us choose one of the numerous other vegan establishments in the area more than not. The products have definitely not been as good as when this location first opened up, & mixed with the poor attitude of the staff it makes it much easier to just go somewhere else where people are friendly & seem to want...
