Give it a try!!! I can totally admit to being a skeptic when I first walked in. I mean a whole business dedicated to popcorn? What?! Who is eating all of these flavors? It’s really great that they let you sample all of the flavors that you are curious about. my fiancé, is somebody who loves movie theater popcorn, and will go out of his way for that, so when we first stumbled in on an afternoon walk, we were at least intrigued, and he was excited! The first time I tried them, I’m not sure I really found any of them, particularly to my liking, until we got home, and I found myself munching on it all night.

I realized I really like the spicy seasoned flavors a bit more than the sweet ones. However, I did try the dark chocolate on my last visit and regret not getting it. The owner tells me they’re using a high-quality dark chocolate and coconut oil, which I totally love!

You have to try the sunshine stormy mix. we are now in our routine of getting our popcorn for our weekend movie night or pre dinner snack. They are sooo flavorful.

The store employees are so friendly, as well as the co-owner Evan! They are happy to help you select flavors. There are probably 50+ flavors. Sweet, spicy. It’s an adorable store as well, decorate by the co-owner Brooke.

It’s become a really fun errand for us, it is owned by a local St Pete family, so we love being able to support that as well! We have happily become regulars, and I have become converted to the sunshine city popcorn fanatic from a skeptic.

Made a pleasant discovery when we wandered into this place last night. Popcorn? Flavored popcorn? What does that even look like? Evan was great to talk to and exceptionally patient with us has he happily served up a bizarre assortment of sweet & savory treats. Some weren't for me. Some were surprisingly delicious... some my brain didn't know what to do with. But it was great fun & we left with way more than I would have ever expected. How can you pick just 1? Don't! I can't imagine stopping in and getting the sample experience much faster than 15 min. We were there for twice that, probably. I'd definitely recommend sticking your head in there. My fiance and I had heard about Sunshine City through various St. Pete videos we had watched. We were in the area for vacation and decided to finally check it out before heading to our Airbnb. We met Janai, who was beyond wonderful. One of the most outgoing, down to earth perople we have emet. We had great conversation with her and she let us try so many samples, which we loved. We ended up buying a big bag of sweet popcorn and big bag of savory popcorn. So many great flavors, some of ours included: maple bacon, grape, strawberry, movie theater, smokehouse, jalapeño ranch, and dill pickle to name a few.
