These were hands down the best donuts we had during our vacation. We especially loved the ube and cookies and cream one. The frosting is spectacular and the donut dough is light and fluffy. I had no idea they were vegan, and I would say they are on the verge of being the best donut I have ever had. We had to stop by on the last day of our vacation to try the ube one (we had gotten six others the first time and they were pretty much inhaled). It was nearly perfect, but I would still judge the Oreo one as supreme.
The one I hated, however, was the mocha one. The coffee taste was SO STRONG that it was bitter and not appealing, even to a coffee drinker. It was hard to even eat it. When one states mocha, I think about a light coffee flavor with some chocolate and cream undertones. This was all coffee all the time, and I hated it.
The fritter we got was over-done as well (fried too long) and had a bit of an off taste. Fray's had the perfect fritter, so if you're looking for that in specific, you should go there.
These are expensive as just one is $4 and I believe 6 are $24? But the cookies and cream and the ube ones are worth it. Wish I knew where I could get donuts as good as this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreValkyrie Doughnuts St Pete is more than just your average doughnut shop. Nestled in St. Petersburg, this cozy spot offers an array of delightful treats that extend far beyond the realm of doughnuts. Whether youāre craving a fresh strawberry cake, savory salmon, flaky croissants, or unique donut flavors, Valkyrie has it all.
During my visit, I decided to explore their nuggets, which are essentially their take on donut holes. Unfortunately, I found the freshness of these nuggets lacking. However, the friendly and helpful staff made up for it.
The atmosphere was inviting, and the service was commendable. While the food itself didnāt quite meet my expectations, Valkyrie Doughnuts remains a charming spot worth visiting for its overall experience.
If youāre curious about their menu, Valkyrie Doughnuts offers an impressive selection of flavors, including classics like glazed and chocolate, as well as unique creations like maple bacon and matcha green tea1. Customers particularly rave about their Apple Fritter with Caramel, Strawberry Lemonade Donut, and Blueberry Pancake Donut2. So, if youāre in the area, consider stopping by for a taste of their delectable...

I have been trying every single Cinnamon Roll in St Pete for the past year or two. I have tried MANY. Too many. It is, without question, my favorite breakfast treat. Yet, hope was fading.
I believe, with all of my heart, that Valkyrie has the best Cinnamon Roll in this city and possibly all of Pinellas County. Possibly all of Florida. Could this be the USA's best Cinnamon Roll? I could believe it.
If you are fan of a 'Cinnabon style' roll, then seek no further. This is it. This is the holy grail of the genre. Obviously it puts Cinnabon to shame, but that serves as a general comparison to describe the type of roll this is.
My quest is over now. Years of disappointment and heartache, chewing my way through dry, flavorless or otherwise uninspired Cinnamon Rolls...all now in my rear view mirror.
The wide open highway is ahead, just me and my Valkyrie Cinnamon Bun, driving to California where the legislature there will hopefully legalize Human-Pastry...
