Went here today for brunch (2 of us), around 11:00 a.m. on a Sunday. Here is our experience:
Good:
Bad:
All in All....slow service, rude people preparing food, lacking cleanliness, mixed up order, and about an hour and 20 minutes from the time we walked in to the time we finished eating. Luckily it was a casual Sunday morning for us.
Sad, because food is good, and the atmosphere is very nice. Great location to boot. We really wanted to like this place. But this was definitely subpar. Not sure we...
Read moreOn 9/22 I walked in to order my coffee and breakfast. While ordering I noticed a man standing by the register. After I received my coffee I stepped outside to grab a table, when the man followed me out, making inappropriate comments. Then sat at the table next to me. I then moved, to which he moved, and continued to stare at me, and make comments under his breath. I moved again, to a table behind the bushes and he then stood up, within 6 feet of our table and continued to stare, standing over us. I asked him to please move away, he was making me uncomfortable , to which he got agitated and said that he was charging his cell phone. I went inside to ask the cashier to please ask him to leave me alone, as I assumed they knew each other. She said she would let the manager know. After 5 min, he still stood there, staring. I then got up, went inside, advised the staff they needed to remove him or I was calling the cops, when he came in to argue, yet again, he’s charging his cell phone. He was not eating or drinking, had no purchases in front of him. When I went to get the manger, she ran the other direction. He finally left, and my friend convinced me to sit and calm down, inside, before we left. We were actually there for about another hour. Not once did anyone from the staff come to check on me. I called the manager when I left to let her know that this policy is not cool and the fact that she doesn’t protect her patrons is unacceptable, her response “for sure”. This man was vile and disgusting but it doesn’t compare to how the staff protected this guy, and allowed his behavior towards me. Absolutely disgusting. I will never set foot in this...
Read moreDecent food, disappointing experience. We walked downtown with the baby in a stroller and small dog on a lease. We saw The Wooden Rooster, checked the door for dog signs and saw a dog bowl inside, so we went in. They've got a huge variety of crepes on the menu. I ordered the beets and my husband the banana granola with a delicious fresh oj. Our order took a few minutes and the guy taking it was very nice. The woman making the crepes helped him with a credit card machine glitch & saw us there. We got our drinks and went to a table. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. The table was dirty, but that's fine, we pushed the dishes to the side. Then he brought us out crepes and silverware. Right before we took a bite, the woman came out and told us no dogs were allowed, apologized and walked away. She didn't offer to help us move our drinks, full plates, or dessert we already ordered. She just walked away while we struggled to bring our entire order, stroller and dog out the door. The guy helped with our drinks, but they never checked on us outside. Oh well, my beets were undercooked, but my husband loved his...
