I have realized that sweet crepes are not quite my thing. Although the one I had was good and all the pieces separatly were great, just not for me. My party mates tried and enjoyed it so I know it was me and not the crepe. I tried my boyfriend's savory one (and I wish I knew the name of it) and it was AMAZING, if we go again then I will probably try to order that one. The crepes that my friends had, they all enjoyed quite well, one of them even wanted a second one. Their specials were cute as they were Mario (video game) themed; we're all gamers so it was extra nice. I also had a hot mocha as well and it tasted good and was made well. My only two complaints would be that the inside was small and kind of cramped (not something that can really be fixed though) and that when our drink orders were ready, they didn't seem to call out or label what they were. I waited a while for my drink before realizing it was up at the counter, luckily it was still warm when I eventually got it. They so offer free, self serve water so none of us were parched (I just needed my caffeine!)

I called to see if they were open at 5pm. They said that they would be open normal hours and closing at 7 PM. We walked in at 6:30 PM and they would not serve food… They said that they are shortstaffed and unfortunately had to close early. The problem is we called ahead of time and she now made this decision within the last hour and a half. We drove pretty far and fought parking to go there and we’re super disappointed. Also the way that she answered us was that “I was the person that told you that we were open until seven and I am also the person that decide to close early… Sorry” Doesn’t seem like good customer service to me. I’m sure they rely on local business and we are local. Are several times for breakfast and dessert. Will have a hard time considering coming back. It is a holiday weekend and unfortunately if you were going to open you should be prepared to handle the crowd that comes to Saint Pete on New Year’s Day. It happens every year. If you can’t handle it you should close and open the following day or take a long weekend off.

Went here today for brunch (2 of us), around 11:00 a.m. on a Sunday. Here is our experience:

Good:

  1. Food showed up hot and was pretty good. I could have done with slightly different proportions of the ingredients but just being picky. Drinks were also good.
  2. Cashier was friendly and helpful.
  3. Neat atmosphere.
  4. Vast, creative selection of crepes.

Bad:

  1. We were 3rd or 4th in line, but the line moves VERY slowly.
  2. We decided to sit at the bar by the window, which from the time we walked in the door to nearly when we left quite a while later (more on that), the plates, glasses, utensils and napkins already there were not picked up.
  3. As part of our order, we ordered 1 iced latte and 1 iced cappuccino. We got 1 iced latte and a cappuccino (order wrong).
  4. There clearly aren't enough cooks and/or equipment to make the orders timely. It took literally 45 minutes to get our two crepes. Other people were starting to ask about their orders.
  5. Very unprofessional staff preparing the meals. The couple next to us went up to ask about their order, and we overheard the meal prep people laugh and joke saying "they can just wait"...thinking no one heard them.
  6. At one point, the lady serving the food walked around to half the tables asking if it was their order, even though we all had our numbers sitting out. Did she not check the order number before walking out with the plates???
  7. The laminated menus by the cashier are NEVER cleaned. Most restaurants, based on CDC guidelines, use throw-away menus, so as not to have to clean after each person uses the menu. And just as the previous dishes were not taken away, no one ever cleaned the bar by us. We did see one girl cleaning once I believe in our whole time there. We question whether they are really following much of any of the current CDC guidelines.

All in All....slow service, rude people preparing food, lacking cleanliness, mixed up order, and about an hour and 20 minutes from the time we walked in to the time we finished eating. Luckily it was a casual Sunday morning for us.

Sad, because food is good, and the atmosphere is very nice. Great location to boot. We really wanted to like this place. But this was definitely subpar. Not sure we...

On 9/22 I walked in to order my coffee and breakfast. While ordering I noticed a man standing by the register. After I received my coffee I stepped outside to grab a table, when the man followed me out, making inappropriate comments. Then sat at the table next to me. I then moved, to which he moved, and continued to stare at me, and make comments under his breath. I moved again, to a table behind the bushes and he then stood up, within 6 feet of our table and continued to stare, standing over us. I asked him to please move away, he was making me uncomfortable , to which he got agitated and said that he was charging his cell phone. I went inside to ask the cashier to please ask him to leave me alone, as I assumed they knew each other. She said she would let the manager know. After 5 min, he still stood there, staring. I then got up, went inside, advised the staff they needed to remove him or I was calling the cops, when he came in to argue, yet again, he’s charging his cell phone. He was not eating or drinking, had no purchases in front of him. When I went to get the manger, she ran the other direction. He finally left, and my friend convinced me to sit and calm down, inside, before we left. We were actually there for about another hour. Not once did anyone from the staff come to check on me. I called the manager when I left to let her know that this policy is not cool and the fact that she doesn’t protect her patrons is unacceptable, her response “for sure”. This man was vile and disgusting but it doesn’t compare to how the staff protected this guy, and allowed his behavior towards me. Absolutely disgusting. I will never set foot in this...

Decent food, disappointing experience. We walked downtown with the baby in a stroller and small dog on a lease. We saw The Wooden Rooster, checked the door for dog signs and saw a dog bowl inside, so we went in. They've got a huge variety of crepes on the menu. I ordered the beets and my husband the banana granola with a delicious fresh oj. Our order took a few minutes and the guy taking it was very nice. The woman making the crepes helped him with a credit card machine glitch & saw us there. We got our drinks and went to a table. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. The table was dirty, but that's fine, we pushed the dishes to the side. Then he brought us out crepes and silverware. Right before we took a bite, the woman came out and told us no dogs were allowed, apologized and walked away. She didn't offer to help us move our drinks, full plates, or dessert we already ordered. She just walked away while we struggled to bring our entire order, stroller and dog out the door. The guy helped with our drinks, but they never checked on us outside. Oh well, my beets were undercooked, but my husband loved his...
