Best ice cream, period. I mean, great selection, great flavours, they even have no-added-sugar options and they are delicious; generous portions, great prices. I bought for three people: two small soft-serves and one small no-sugar-added hard serve. Despite being small, they were extraordinarily generous. The girls who assisted/sold me the ice creams were lovely, polite, patient while we decided, swift in serving, all while observing anti-Covid-19 measures. The check came to $12. We had an extremely bad experience at Dairy Witch on September 17th. Our daughter, who has a peanut allergy, ordered soft serve with rainbow sprinkles. While eating it, she tasted something she thought tasted like peanuts. The sprinkles had been contaminated with peanut toppings. We found pieces in the sprinkles. We ended up calling 911 and went by ambulance to the hospital. I sent a note to Dairy Witch through their website that night to let them know. I did not receive a response. My boyfriend and I have been here three times since moving to Salem, and it has been great every time. Sometimes the lines are long, but it is because the ice cream is worth it! I have gotten the root beer float, mint ice cream, and vanilla ice cream. They have all been very rich and creamy tasting, and it's nice that it's around the corner from where I live. It's a seasonal ice cream place, but I recommend coming here at least once in your summer stay.
