Don Pedro’s Time — Restaurant in Salem

I had gone by this place several times. Around lunch and dinner time, always had lots of cars. I thought this must be a good place to eat! And saw several Hispanic people coming and going, Must be authentic I thought to myself. And the Sunday that we stopped in.There was also a lot of cars out there and Hispanic phowever only walking ever when we walked in.There wasn't very many people in there. So I thought that's we ordered our food.It came to us More on the long side. We ordered the special which was angelata's.I ordered the red sauce.My husband ordered the green sauce. The red sauce tasted like ketchup with a little bit of enchilada sauce in a tortillas were gross. All I could taste was the corn it was even gritty. We both order Shredded beef, there was no flavor to it.It was like eating a piece of roast. I will never go back there. And what made it even worse was?I went up to get a to go box.2 of the waitresses totally ignored me.I am Caucasian.I took that as being very prejudiced.I had to ask for help. I'd say excuse me excuse me! excuse me!!. Before the person behind the counter would turn around and I had been standing there long enough to take 2 orders. Unfortunately, changing our review and giving less stars after a recent visit for dinner. This used to be our go to for a good authentic carne asada meal. Price used to be right and you got plenty, with a fresh variety of salsas and the meal included a perfect sized salad. We preferred this over the bigger mexican restaurants in town. Now, the price has gone up and portions are smaller. We ordered the carne asada meal as usual, with ranch dressing for our salad. The ranch dressing ended up being mayonnaise with a slight amount of seasoning, tasted nothing like ranch. After letting them know, they said our options would be no dressing or thousand island. We chose t. island, which tasted again like mayonnaise, with a slight amount of tang and it was pink?! This was the worst experience we've had at this location. Didn't eat our salads at all. The first few times we ate here was a pretty good experience. As of lately, they don't get our order correct. They either leave our an entire part to our order or the ingredients in the food are not the same as before. For example we asked for a double bacon cheeseburger in a meal with fries and a drink which we've gotten at least 3 times and she says it doesn't come with a drink?? Why did it before but not now? We got a Carne asada burrito and it didn't have rice or beans on it the first time but this time it did. They're very inconsistent, alot of their employees lack professionalism and this is not the first time we've had experienced something like this here. They make more mistakes than mcdonalds and are not even close to being as busy as them. Pretty sad. I recommend taquira express over them any day. They're consistent every time, get the order right ever time, very kind and professional, don't change the Ingredients every time we order food from there plus the food is SOO...
