I had no problem with the pizza's taste. My issues concern very sub-standard customer service experiences and what appears to be an overall desire to have their customers satisfied.
On Nov. 9th I ordered to large pizzas and asked for them to be cut in squares or "Chicago Cut" as it is often refereed to in the rest of the country. I was speechless when I was told they don't do that. A supervisor who took my order couldn't fully explain why this was; telling me that their pizza wasn't made in a way to be cut in squares, then he told me it was because it made the pizza look inedible, then he said no one knew how to do it, and then finally he told me they didn't have the equipment capable to do it.
When I asked him if he even knew why was, he told me he had no idea, just that it was the store's policy.
I was really confused why such a simple request couldn't be met, but decided I'd still place an order and asked him not to cut either pizza at all.
When the order was ready, I looked at each pizza and one of them had been cut despite my request. When I expressed my displeasure and asked how they could make that mistake, he told me that it was still good and that I should take it.
When I continued to ask why this whole incident had to even happen this way, another supervisor came and told me the other one was new and that if I wanted to I could return the next day and speak to the owner.
Today I finally had a chance to go and talk to the owner. He came across as uncaring over what happened and said it was just their policy not to do that because they want to remain consistent and that their was no way to efficiently communicate that request to the person who cuts the pizza's.
I never once asked for a discount, or a credit, or free food from the supervisors or the store owner. I never raised my voice, berated anyone, or made a threat of any kind.
For the record, to cut a pizza in squares vs. the pie shaped triangle cut they use requires the exact same amount of slices across the pizza and is in fact easier execute. It even allows for better consistency since the worker is essentially making a tic-tac-toe cut that is easier to proportion than spinning style that is required for the other method.
I told the owner it was a shame that they were willing to lose a customer over this and that I would not be ordering from them again. He was polite, but he never tried to win me back as a customer and didn't...
Read moreWe have ordered from Odd Moeâs several times in the last 6 months. I love their âBig Juan (Taco pizza) and Habanero Mango wingsâ. After a very long week of working retail and helping customers myself during this Christmas season. This sounded fabulous. Well it took forever to get our order. Like an hour, (maybe im exhaused and a but cranky about that, yes i could have just gone and gotten it, but this elf has been on her feet for 10+hours working 40+hours. Any ways. To my surprise we received a pepperoni pizza with a hand written note âPayton might be smarterâ on the inside and like 5 wings (the half lb wich ive ordered several times and get like 12) so we called and had nothing but grief, the lady that answered argued and argued. I weighed the wings in the box and they didnt even register on the scale. She said well âenjoy the pizza you gotâ wait NO, we want the pizza we paid for and have a receipt for. Finally she said she would send the Taco but nothing she would do about the wings.
I really love the taco pizza and wings but its not enough for me to be treated so horribly and be ripped off. We are all in hard times. But be consistent and have good customer service. Not Sure ill be back. And thats sad.
I just had to call them as the pizza re sent was ice cold and looks nothing like their normal Pizza. (Zoe the manager) was super helpful, she was not told anything that was relayed from the 1st call. She apologized and refunded our whole order. Props to her. She has restored my faith some. But they need to train staff on customer service...
Read moreI had a really bad experience at Odd Moe's today. I ordered Jojos and a medium Big Juan taco pizza. The employees were nice enough when I got in there and told me my order was almost done. No problem, I know things get crazy and pizza takes time. I got home, ate my jojos (the ranch was awesome, I should've ordered more), and then went to have pizza. Added my doritos to it and was so excited. I bit into my first slice and realized that the dough was almost completely raw. I looked at my other slice and it was the same. I called the South Salem location (where I bought it) and the employee that answered brushed me off. Told me that their process to make the pizzas are the same every time, so even if he made me a new one it would be the exact same. I live right near the store, so I told him I'd drive it down and show it to him. He looked at it and told me that it's not raw. I said that the dough is almost white, it's still clear and it's not cooked through properly. He told me that they use white flour dough, so that's just how it looks. He said they could make another, but it'd turn out exactly the same because he's going to make it the same way (basically trying to get me out the door). I am not a huge woman, but if you look at me you can definitely tell I've eaten a few pizzas. The experience I had today was unfortunate, especially because I've had really good pizzas from them in the past, but this was beyond anything I want to have to deal with again. If anyone has the info for the owners, I'd love to talk to them about...
