During my visit to the drive-thru at Starbucks in Salem, Oregon on Lancaster drive, I encountered an unfortunate situation that left me feeling quite unsettled. It was just after 8 PM when I approached the speaker box and inquired if the shop was still open. The young man who greeted me responded in a tone that felt passive-aggressive and somewhat rude, which caught me off guard as I was simply seeking confirmation about the store's hours.
After ordering a venti pink drink with light ice, I paid with a ten-dollar bill. However, the change I received was $3.35, which seemed incorrect given that my drink cost $5.65. I typically tip a dollar when I visit Starbucks, so I respectfully brought this to the employee's attention, believing there was a mistake. Unfortunately, his response was dismissive; he insisted he had given me the correct change and even challenged me by stating that they had cameras to verify the transaction.
In an unexpected display of frustration, he reached into the tip jar and attempted to hand me a dollar, suggesting that if it was that important, he would cover it from his tips. I encouraged him to check the cameras because I was confident I had been shorted. But I insisted I would not take money from his tip jar, I just wanted the correct change back. This interaction felt increasingly uncomfortable, especially when he made a comment about being a social worker and implied that this whole situation was in reflection of a bad day he believed me to be having. In reality, my day had been going well until this rude encounter.
I requested to speak with a manager, but he informed me that the manager was unavailable. Overall, I was taken aback by his unprofessional demeanor and lack of customer service, which is not what I have come to expect...
Read moreHORRIBLE STARBUCKS!!👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Went there the 23rd of October 2023 around 6pm and the supervisor there has the worst customer service skills/very rude and disrespectful as well ! So I had purchased a drink thru the drive thru then left & drove off then finally took sip of my drink and it taste different so I looked at the cup and realized then they didn't put almond milk and instead put regular milk and i cant have regular milk . So i drove back and went back thru drive thru and let them know my drink wasn't made right and I asked if they could remake it, so she got the manager/supervisor and she came at me rude and was arguing about the drink(like what professional does that?) And she refused to remake the drink and was rambling with all kinds of rude remarks and I said "look I don't need her attitude nor do I have time to listening to you being rude and if it's such a hassle to remake my drink then I'll just by another drink ! Only reason I even offered to buy another one is because I just really wanted something to drink but made right and didn't want to deal with her negativity, yet... She was refusing to remake my drink then she said no "I'm not making you a drink"...I'm like "what the what?" I've never ever had such bad unprofessional customer services til I came to that starbucks...she really deserves to be fired ..I really feel bad for the employees there that have to work with her as well as future customers that may go there when...
Read moreThis place is usually great but I went today and I literally sat in the lobby for 15 minutes waiting for my drink. I then went up to check myself and my drink had been sitting up there the whole time and was now cold because the girl was refusing to say anyones name??? I literally watched her put these two girls frapps up on the counter without saying their name and I literally had to tell them “hey I think those are yours.” Like if I didn’t say anything then their drinks would have melted and they would have wasted their money. I watched the girl who was making the café drinks standing around bored and staring into space before realizing she had drinks to make. As a Starbucks employee myself, we are supposed to say the names nice and loud so that people get their drinks as soon as possible; this, at the bare minimum. I guarantee you if her supervisor saw what she was doing she would have been removed from the floor. Lazy. I can only say that she wasn’t doing her job because I work at starbucks and know what she should be doing. The lobby wasn’t even busy when...
