Why don't they card?
First of all I dont like writing 1 star reviews. I like to give places good reviews and hope that people like my reviews but to be fair it wasnt good and go read the other one star reviews on this place before you go. A lot of people had a way worse time than I did there.
Go to another Japanese place. Went there for a mothers day lunch and it was so loud and drunk people hanging out at the next table long after they ate. The sauces on the sides aren't as good as other places. And the rice was under cooked. You want brown crispy rice and that was not it. If you do go there pay for the noodles. The people across from us paid the $2 for the noodles and they got noodles and rice, would have done that if I had known you get both. They split the rice up 7 ways and not everybody got enough. There was a lag between each item too. So by the time we got chicken the rice was cold and then by the time we got vegetables the chicken was cold. I like to eat everything together. The cook was disappointing as well. Didn't really talk or interact as the others in the place. And he gave the other group at our table sake and offered our mother some. Our mother said no. And then he pulled a blue kid bottle out and put it in my face. No I'm not a child. I'm thirty years old. Did the same to my sister who is 29. Very offensive. At least card us if you dont know how old we are. But he didn't card the younger guy in the other group who looked like he was in college. Just poured sake in his mouth. And he had a coke in front of him too. I dont even drink but I found it rude and probably against the law that they dont card in those places. They shouldn't be...
Read moreWe have visited many times before , usually sitting on the table side versus the grill side. Service was always slow on the table side but the sushi is good much higher priced compared to counterparts. Before today the only issue we ever had was with their 50% of sushi. Then send mailers out that advertise this. So we went and where told we were not allowed to do half price . That half price is only if you sit at the bar and also doesnt apply to children. So extremely misleading advertising. Tonight we went and decided to do hibachi. Not one time did the server remove dirty dishes or refill drinks as I watched her do with every single other table, so why not us? Then in the middle of us eating without even asking came and grabbed our soy sauce and gave it to another table who hadnt even received food yet . We still had sushi that we where eating in loo with our meal. Which led me to having to ask for it back and wait to get it back. I had my infant so I was a little slower to eat. Not to mention our sushi came out after our meal. The biggest straw to break the camels back was the fact that the chef gave both me and my 4 year olds meal to the opposite end of the table which led us to waiting 20 mins after he left to receive our food wich left my 4 year old in absolute tears. Part of hibachi is paying for the show. Horrible experience in which we left no tip for the server to grab our check and then complain about it behind us to fellow servers. I worked in hibachi for 3 years. I understand how it works. The experience tonight was embarrassing and down right awful from the establishment. Tokyo down the street may have been a...
Read moreWent there just after Christmas. Service was slow and not responsive. Ordered 2 Habachi dinners. Sat at a table not the hibachi show. The hibachi room was packed for a company party. The rest of the eating patrons paid the price. Seats at the bar looked fine. Steak was all charred fat. Like we got the trimmings from the show steaks. Salad dressing was mayo and the soup was dish water. Ordered the bumblebee roll because it was recommended by a friend. Never saw the roll and it was on the bill. The waitress said she would go have them make it. And the excuse for the missing dish was the party had ordered a bunch of sushi boats so they must have forgotten. I was looking forward to it because it was their cooked sushi I was there for. Cannot eat raw sushi for health reasons. Because the hibachi was so bad I told her to take it off the bill. The steak was so bad I wasn't trusting anything further. If you have a large planned party you should be prepared to cover the rest of the patrons orders. Plan ahead. Regardless the wife was sick all night. I think it was the fried rice. It came out oily and not cooked all the way. Not day old rice. Thank God I didn't get the sushi as the possibility was there that I could have gotten really ill too. Will never return and would never recommend. I barely ever review and usually just write it off. Couldn't let it go this time. Again it was recommended by a friend that frequents there. It was a Friday and they were clearly...
