If you're looking for a place with amazing food, excellent service, and an all-around fantastic atmosphere, look no further than Old Chicago in Salina! My recent visit was nothing short of outstanding, and I'm already looking forward to my next trip. From start to finish, everything was absolutely wonderful.
First off, the service deserves a huge shoutout. Cody was phenomenal! She was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure we were completely satisfied. From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. She was quick to answer any questions, kept our drinks topped off without us even having to ask, and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. It's rare to find someone as dedicated to creating such a positive dining experience as Cody was--she truly went above and beyond.
And then there's the food--oh, the food! If you're a pizza lover, you absolutely must try the Chicago Love Pizza. It's hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust was perfectly baked with just the right amount of crispiness, and the toppings were so fresh and flavorful. You could tell a lot of thought and care went into creating such a masterpiece. The balance of flavors was spot-on, with the perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings that all worked together beautifully. Honestly, it's the bomb--there's no better way to describe it!
The rest of the menu looked fantastic as well, and everything we saw coming out of the kitchen made us want to order even more. But what stood out the most was how everything, from the food to the service, felt like it was prepared with care and attention to detail.
The atmosphere at Old Chicago is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a meal with family or friends. Whether you're there for a quick bite, a celebration, or just a casual night out, it's the perfect spot.
I can't recommend Old Chicago in Salina enough. With Cody's outstanding service and their incredible Chicago Love Pizza, it's a place you'll want to come back to again and again. Thank you for such a memorable dining experience--we'll definitely be...
Read moreVery nice inviting atmosphere. Its go a unique setup. The first time we attended it was during the weekend and we left due to their inability to get us seated in a timely manner it took 45 minutes which is just unacceptable. So we went on a weekday to give it a shot. Its recently new to Salina and we were greeted and seated immediately we had a really good waitress as she was attentive and got drink refills before our drinks were even empty. Also mad it a priority to let us know our food was on it's way and asked how the food tastes. I had a pub pizza and it was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection it included sausage, pepperoni, beef, and diced mushrooms and it was amazing. My wife had a chicken pesto mac pasta and it was good as well had a creamy cheese sauce with broccoli and chicken dices with white cheddar and the best garlic bread we've ever had in salina it was authentic. The one thing about the pasta was the broccoli might have been a bit tough needed a few more minutes of steam but it was good. I had to give them a four star due to the first visit where we were not seated or greeted and it was during the weekend so a much busier time but service is a must for a new business. I'll try it again as the menu was packed with some tasty options from pastas, burgers, salads, pizza, calzones, and some unique appetizers. So they deserved a four star this visit but they have to do better getting people seated on the weekend you never want to make a customer wait to be seated longer than 10 minutes it's just...
Read moreWe visit Salina every few months to see family. Old Chicago pizza is my favorite. The one in our city shut down a long time ago. So when I visit, I always make time for a good pizza. Today, I tried ordering online. However, I could not customize the burger I was ordering for a family member. It would not allow me to leave off the cheese and the sauce. So I called in my order for pick-up. I ordered a classic hamburger, no cheese ,no garlic aioli, and well done. I ordered an individual Thin Crust Meat me pizza. And I ordered an individual THICK CRUST meat me pizza for myself. The girl on the phone was very nice. She made sure I wanted Pan crust, and not Ale crust. I told her that I did not like the ale crust . Results upon arrival home after picking up food. Burger was cooked medium, Thin Crust pizza was good, Thick crust pizza was disgusting. It was Ale crust not pan. Had 2 sprigs of basil on it a total of 3 green Olives. It was a super soggy mess. It couldn't be ate by picking it up, you had to eat it out of the box with a fork. NASTY. I think I have been cured of my Old Chicago pizza craving. On to...
