HELLO AGAIN FRIENDS!!! Sorry I've been off the radar hahahah! A few days ago I was able to FINALLY make it to Meddy's and eat the food that my Elder Brother RAVED about. On my visit I had him and his "To-Be", and I ate what was called a Big Bowl (I think, I'm not certain) and had the Lamb made with it. And HOT DIGGETY DOG was it good! Every bit as good if not better than my bro had said. The lamb was SO tender and delicious that I thought the Chefs/Cooks had injected creamy melted cheese into the center of each piece! The sauce was a perfect combo for the rice, lamb, cubed squash, etc. And as for having firsts! This was the first time I'd ever had Pita bread and it was delightful. The service was speedy and accurate. The floors and tables appeared to be clean (I was too excited to try the food I wasn't paying good attention). I did not have the chance to check the bathrooms but if the food, service and eating area were any indication then.... 😇 There is room for wheel chairs outside on the "porch" they had, but I do not believe there is enough COMFORTABLE room inside.
Alright yall I think that about covers my experiance! I highly recommend trying it out because I definitely think it's worth any trouble you might go through!

Read moreI traveled to Salina to tend to a family matter and found this spot a couple of blocks up from the hospital (walking distance). To be honest, I'm a vegetarian and Salina had, up until this find, offered little in the way of sustenance for me (a girl can't live on salad alone). I hail from the Washington, DC area and have had Mediterranean fare many times. I've always hated falafels because I found them dry and tasteless .... UNTIL THIS SPOT!. These folk made the best falafels I've ever had in my whole entire life. They were flavorful, crispy on the outside and tender and GREEN inside. The chickpea stew was the comforting satisfying dish I needed after a tedious hospital visit. The staff was cheerful and helpful and the atmosphere was joyful. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a comforting moment of respite. I have zero intention of ever returning to Salina, KS again except to return to this spot...I'd make the trip...

We came for a meal during their opening week and it was BUSY. A line out the door and a full house inside. The restaurant was well staffed to handle the constant stream of people. The food came out quickly, and the service was top notch. Not to mention the decor!
I can’t count the amount of times someone stopped by to make sure we had pita, drinks, or if we needed anything. My husband’s plate was cleared when he stepped out to meet me as I arrived later than him and they promptly served him the same plate with an apology.
My compliments to everyone front and back of house who was working so hard to make sure the opening went well and people experienced top notch Mediterranean food and hospitality. We will definitely be back again!
Apologies that some photos feature half eaten plates but, well, that’s just how it...
