EDITED for our recent visit on 4-12-22. Let's start with no bread and fruit for our little one like last time. Waiter (Itzak I think, sorry if I'm wrong) was amazing but between the cook and the bar drinks and food sucked. Hubby got the Margherita flight, my daughter got a white peach Margherita and I got a glass of the 7 daughters. Peach Margherita was not peach at all, waiter offered to bring peaches to add but came back and said you were out. Fine. My hubby's fight didn't come out until the food and we had to ask twice for it. Then food came and it was horrible. My daughter and I got the parmesan crusted chicken with veggies and I got the baked potato. Veggies were raw and not cooked. Baked potato was burnt and so dry. We ordered shrimp off the kids menu for my little one and it was COVERED in pepper (why would you put pepper on a child's food?) So she wouldn't eat it cuz it was spicy. All in all this trip really let us down. I'll give it one more chance and that will be either 3rd strike you're out or 3rd time is the charm. Definitely unhappy about spending $200 for bad food. Adding in photo to show burnt potato and pepper loaded shrimp before I dug in and realized how bad it was. Birthday dinner 12-30-21 First time ever and I'm really glad the two other choices we had didn't pan out because omg, the food was so good. I loved that they gave our daughter a little bread and fruit before her meal and everything we ordered was so good. Definitely will be back!

Visited location on April 24, 2025 at 7:00pm My Wife took me here for my birthday to have dinner…parking is a nightmare, waited 20 minutes at the table before even ordering drinks let alone a meal or talking to a waitress or waiter, my knife had food still stuck on it, waited an additional 10 minutes for a spoon to eat my Root beer float, jambalaya was over spice and total amount in the bowl was significantly less than BJ’s usually serve. Eager to just leave, we skipped any thought of dessert and I looked on the screen at our tab. All we saw was someone else’s bill. Before exiting, my complaint didn’t exactly fall on deaf ears, but a few employees began to surround me, which made me uncomfortable. Almost felt like my complaining married my bodily removal. Of course that’s my assumption, and that’s why I felt uncomfortable…Happy Birthday to me, right? Do yourself a favor and skip over this location. The food was mediocre, The dining area is half the size of most BJ’s I ever seen, and most of all their Service sucked so bad that they couldn’t even admit it to themselves. My birthday wish is for you to spend your money elsewhere and let this location wither, along with its dreadful service.

This place has always been a hit and miss with food, but a good spot to kick back, yesterday (9-2-20) they took the prize for worst customer service with out door dinning in Salinas. Forced to wait over an hour, we understood it would take time to get a table, took exactly 77min to get a txt notification another 10 to explain the situation and with our table forced to split our party into two different tables, we had a starving 3 yr old that was excited to finally get some food oh but wait his stroller is not allowed! Seriously it's not in the way or anything but according to them it was against regulations they wanted to throw him to the other table and suggested to move again! Two families where split into a table of 4 and a table of 2 now they want us to mix around if we wanted to stay. They did not apologize about the inconvenience, they didn't place no effort in making the situation better, they couldn't move two tables together and out of frustration and not wanting to make it a bigger deal we had to walk away. I felt so bad for our friends with the little boy, we invited them somewhere else but out of embarrassment they decided to go home. Thanks BJ's for ruining our day!

For Mother's day my family and I decided to go celebrate at BJ's with a nice brunch. However, when we got there all of our expectations dissolved when our server, Mr. Brandon R., greeted the table and started to make uncomfortable discriminatory remarks towards my husband and his brother. He also made my husband upset by rudely putting his hands on him without his permission. My husband is a veteran of the US Marine Corps and suffers from PTSD. The invasion of privacy and disrespect toward my family was present from the moment he introduced himself to us. Both me and my brother-in-law are also veterans of the Marine Corps and felt equally disrespected. We raised our concerns to the hostess who told us we were going to be assigned a new sever and she was going to send the manager over to speak to us about the incident, but that never happened. Brandon R. came back repeatedly to our table after we asked for a new server. We informed Brandon R. and explained to him about our requested for a new server and that he was making my husband uncomfortable. Seconds later Mr. Robert (Bobby) Lanfranco introduced himself to us as the BJ's manager. We explained the situation to him and asked him if it was possible to have a new server or move to another section of the restaurant, but his answer to us was shocking. He told us no, he wasn't going to do that. He explained, "the company's policy and the state of California prohibits him from changing his servers and guests to protect his servers from discrimination." I find this very interesting when we are reporting to him a discrimination incident caused by his server Brandon R. I'm very disappointed with my visit to BJ's. What was supposed to be a celebration day with my family turned out to be a dissatisfying experience at the hands of one of your employees Brandon R. I'm not sure if I will ever go and visit any of your locations again. I have visited your locations multiple times throughout the years and today turned out to be the very worst and most awful visit we've experienced with your business. I look forward to hearing from one of your dedicated staff members in regards to this matter because this is one of my favorite places to...

List of things they were out of: Root beer Vodka chosen right from the server's device Avacado egg rolls Prime rib (after we already ordered it and our server told us there was enough of the limited quantity for us)

My husband and I took our friends here as one of their last Cali dinners out. We waited 40min. for a table (not that long on a Saturday night in our opinion), but as soon as we sat down the problems started. BJs is well known for their root beer so we ordered a couple root beers and a shot of vodka only to be told they were out of both. Okay so we ordered avacado egg rolls while we decided what we wanted to drink and were told they were out of the avacado egg rolls. We switched to the nachos which were greasy and soggy and moved onto ordering our entrees. My husband asked the waitress if they had the prime rib special tonight and she said yes they have enough so 3/4 of us ordered the special. 15 minutes later, the manager comes out and says sorry we only have enough for 1 prime rib. 2 of us have to change our order. When the waitress came to our table 10min later I asked her to show me the vodkas they do have on her device. She showed me and I chose from the device and she came back 15min later to tell me they actually don't have that vodka. Icing on the cake is she brought our food about 10min after that and she said the one with the green beans so I said yeah I think that's me to which her response was "well you guys apparently changed your order with someone else so I don't know." As if we wanted to change our order. My husband ordered his prime rib well done and it came out medium rare. The chili that was supposed to come with it never came so we had to ask for it to go at the end of our dinner. We didn't make a fuss because we had friends with us but paid almost $200 for a crummy night out for 4 people. Will not...

This morning I received an email from BJs telling about their free pizookie day. Seeing that I would be on that side on town around lunch, I figured, why not?? Stop!!! It's a trap!! My children often refer to BJs as "the place daddy hates" as well as "the place that takes forever." Generally, I like the food and sometimes, just sometimes, the service is decent and relatively quick so I took a chance. 80 min, 80 long minutes with just me and my children stuck waiting for an end game and all I can say is I'm glad to be out of there. The food took forever! My daughter's mac n cheese was so overcooked, the noodles were a giant glob of mush. Even the strawberries were mushy. The barbacoa chicken, although usually pretty good, was off today and I barely ate it. I tried to order the pizookie early since the food was taking an eternity but the server made me wait. He put the order in when he saw we were done with our food. When it finally arrived, the cookie was raw!!! By that point, I just told my daughters to eat the ice cream so we could get out of there. Initially I was brought the wrong bill. I anxiously waited for my server to return and told him about the raw pizookie. He didn't seem to care and at that point, neither did I. The manager happened to stop by and asked how everything was going. I told him the cookie was raw and he said he would have made another for me if I said something. While I appreciated the gesture, I said I had just got it and I'd already been there for over an hour so I was ok with not getting a replacement, non raw cookie. He took my bill land knocked off $7 which was also kind of him. I swear, I must be a glutton for punishment. Why I keep returning is a mystery to me. If you value your time and patience, avoid this restaurant like the plague!! You've...
