Mountain Mike's Pizza. After the COVID-19, yes im starting out this way, this pizza chain came up as my go to places. A lot. And Round Table, formerly my top choice for franchise pizza restaurants dropped off my list completely.
In Salinas i believe there are 3 of these spots. They're all pretty good for there own reasons. This one by N. Davis & Boranda area i like because of their Pizza specifically. The dough, toppings and overall flavor/texture of the pie is awesome. The best of the 3, im my opinion is here, again for the pie.
The service has always been good too. I believe they recently renovated the place. Looks good. The staff looks like its cycled around 3 or 4 times. They still treated me very nicely.
Its mainly a family oriented location. They've got several big TVs playing sports or sitcoms. They serve soft drinks, beer on tap and an ok salad bar( canned peaches if you like that. I do. Of the 3 this is the only one which i saw this).

Read moreI'm throwing away my uneaten wings as we speak. Ordered wings (con blue cheese) with cheesy garlic bread - a simple order which would soon prove anything but. Get to the restaurant and dont need to even give her my name, I was clearly the last order of the night. Im handed two boxes (a good sign, as I ordered two items - or so I thought) and offered Ranch. I respond "no, I actually ordered it specifically with blue cheese." Well, the blue cheese was apparently unattainable since it was already back in the fridge for the night. So, I get home (with no blue cheese) and crack open the alleged "buffalo wings" which were actually just defrosted little grease nuggets of garbage and long-dried franks hot sauce. "wow, this is terrible. What can help redeem this meal and make me whole again? oh thats right, cheesy garlic bread - a quintessential Italian crowd-pleaser."
