The only reason I’m putting 4 stars is because the price to go see the cats is a little bit high per person but other than that everything is great. Me and my Fiance tried it as a one time thing as something to do and we automatically fell in love with so many of the cats. Maybe animals is the best therapy for me but I kept craving to go back, especially to see one little guy that I just put my application in for. There was days we went twice a day to pay a visit to our little friends. At first my Fiance was scared and the only reason he was doing it was for me but he ended up becoming just as in love as I did. It’s all he can talk about right now. I love the cause and what they are doing. All cats seem so well taken care of and well mannered. The staff is so nice. Me and my Fiance had a brownie and it was great as well. I can see myself continuously coming back for future visits and really praying on this application for the buddy that I fell in love with most. Also to adopt a cat is not expensive at all. $125-$140 sounds hefty at first but everything is taken care of for them, all shots, neuter, and I believe chip as well if I’m not mistaken. If your thinking about adopting a cat 100% come by it’s like the perfect meet and greet, or even if you want a cat but just can’t have one, just need some quick therapy like a did....
Read moreWe’ve driven by this cat café many times, and our kids have been wanting to check it out. We finally visited with six of us in our family(we are typically 8). While we appreciate that the entry fee helps support stray cats, the $8 per person charge for just 30 minutes felt excessive—especially for a larger family. On top of that, purchasing drinks added to the overall cost, making it an expensive outing.
What made it even more disappointing was that there were only three cats out to play, and with another couple in the room, interaction was minimal. We mostly just sat and watched the cats, which we could have done from the window without paying admission.
We understand that caring for the cats requires funding, but a lower entry fee—or at least ensuring more active interaction with the cats—would make it a better experience. If the pricing were more reasonable, we’d be happy to visit more often and support the cause. Unfortunately, at its current cost, we won’t...
Read moreI had such a wonderful experience at Mac Tabby Cat Cafe. I initially wanted a coffee but with one of their recommendations I changed my mind. I got the Midnight Lotus Energy, it’s sweet and it reminded me of a blue jolly rancher, only a carbonated drink version.
To see the cats it is a separate expense but not pricey at all. All the cats come from the humane society and on Wednesday, if not every week then bi-weekly, Mac Tabby has their adoption day. Almost 2,000 cats have been adopted in less than a year with Mac Tabby’s help. The environment for the cats is so much more relaxing than the humane society and I’m glad this exists for the cats. Maybe one day we could have more animal cafes for people to enjoy but also adopt more local animals.
This is a must stop if you are walking around downtown and want to relax for a few. And if you love cats, well, what are you waiting for? I will be coming...
