Really enjoyed Nashville nights. I am not a drinker. So when I come here it's mainly to play pool and listen to the music. It seems like a different breed of crowd is here now. Sometimes it seems like it's more of an alcoholic type of clientele now. Which I know does better for the cash register. However I miss the Nashville night days when the clientele was a lot more friendly. The male bartenders seem to be the only concerned with the bottom line now. The female bartenders in the past did not mind the lemonade Cowboy coming in and having fun with the pool tables and playing the games upstairs. I totally Miss the beach skee ball machines and the cool upstairs View when playing pool. They move the pool tables downstairs with all the alcoholics. So now you can't be up on the roof like the song says. Used to the alcoholics would not Venture up stairs too much. So you pretty much be the lemonade cowboy without having to deal with that. Also it seems the music has gotten louder. They play the volume of the Jukebox way too loud here. It just seems to not have the right mix of people coming in like it did when Nashville nights was here. But I guess as far as making money it's probably doing better catering to the alcoholic type clientele. Salisbury has had so many past places in this area come and go. It's a shame you can't keep country in a town that was largely agricultural-based in the beginning. I know now you have Urban professionals and some of the Agricultural base has been lost. But trust me there's still a whole lot of country people in this town. Whenever Darrell Harwood comes here you can tell it's packed. That should tell these owners they shouldn't go too far from country even if they did change it to the Fishbowl. There's still a lot of us that appreciate awesome country music. I do also like the guy who comes in and plays the guitar and plays Indi folk music. And whenever southern rock or some old-school 80s happens to come out of the Jukebox. However I don't need it at 5000 decibels. I lost some of my hearing being with the Marines for 7 years in my 20-year career as a Navy man. But I still don't need...
Read moreThere are a lot of sketchy people that sit in the back patio even if they don't buy a single drink. I went outside after a game of pool and was completely blindsided/jumped by 2 of them. They didn't really get any solid hits on me, amazingly. But I had to leave while they were trying to figure out what was going on and police were called. I spent like 150 bucks and some nobodies just ruined the whole night. Well honestly I still enjoyed going home jamming to my music. I can't recommend going there alone. Be careful out there. World is getting wild.
Edit: went back and they looked at the cameras and saw I wasn't an at fault party. Also, banned the individual(s) so changed...
Read moreThe fishbowl is a fun and exciting place to visit! It’s extremely fun, and relaxing. It’s a great place to go to after work or a long day to just have a good drink. The staff there is very knowledgeable about their drinks, and the pleasure of getting a wonderful shot green tea is phenomenal! It’s smooth, and it’s quiet lol. I highly recommend you visit and give it a shot. I know Salisbury seems to l only have a few things to do, and this is a great place to visit in enjoy some good music, and great drinks.
