I went today for lunch with a group of coworkers. This was the worst experience i ever had. The customer service was horrible we arrived at 11:30am. The waitress mixed up me and another coworkers meal one coworker ordered her food and it never came. I didnt realize the wait staff mixed up our food until i looked at the food after several minutes of conversations with the group and when my other coworkers food arrived i realized i ordered pasta as a side and i ordered the margarita pastrami reuben with pasta as a side he ordered the new york reuben with fries. My coworker had already started eating his meal this was his first time at this resturaunt. When we realized the mistake we informed the staff immediately that the waitress had mixed up the order when she brought out the plate she gave me she said margarita pastrami so i said that was my order. After informing the waitress she goes and gets a lady whom we assumed was either the manager or owner. The manger/ or owner was very rude and told us that we should be aware of what we ordered and that it was our fault the plates were given to the wrong customers. Then the manager/ or owner tells me and my coworker that me and him should just switch our food. During this time another coworker already said the other coworker already took two bites of the sandwich. And i had already breathe over the food. This to me isnt even hygienic. The manger/ or owner suggestion of this to me was very disturbing to me. I can only wonder what else they do in the kitchen if this is proper practice. Due to the attitudes of the staff/manger or owner i didn't want any thing to eat and wanted a refund of my money for my meal and the $5 tip i left on my card. While i did pay for my coworker meal i did not expect for that to be refunded however the manager/ or owner took my original recepit from me and just gave me a recepit for $8.23 when i checked my account in the resturaunt they charged me again. I informed them they charged me and i want to withdraw the $5 tip i left as well. I was told it was a refund of $8.23 and the tip would not be added. After this review i will call my bank to verify. I did tell the manager/ or owner she was very unprofessional and i will let my other coworkers know about my experience. The manger/owner follows me back to the table and again keeps saying we should have been paying attention she was very confrontational. Please be aware and dont make the same mistake as me. I have noticed good customer service is hard to find. I have worked in customer service for years and my goal is to provide exceptional customer service to all customers i encounter. This is my first time i have ever came across such rudeness at the resturaunt. I didn't eat i did ask my coworker how good was the food and they said it wasn't even good. Dont waste your money go to outback or longhorn....
Read moreComing in at the Palm Cafe: When I came in I wasn't sure what to do but when I look to my left I saw what looked like a deli and walked up to it.
The greeting: There were two employees behind the counters. It took a while to be greeted or be acknowledged when one of the workers finally said someone will be with you shortly. I responded with gratitude and said okay.
I then proceeded to pick up a menu and saw a vast variety of meals they had to offer. It didn't take long to spot my favorite Mushroom Swiss burger. Without a doubt it was what I ordered I had to taste and see how good it was.
Ambiance: the setting of The Cafe was very warm and welcoming there was relaxing music playing and the area felt calm a great setting to enjoy the company of loved ones and laughter with. Colors and decor we're very welcoming.
But wood stood out for me the most out of this place was a gentleman who demonstrated Humanity. Someone had left their keys on the counter and instead of throwing it away in a lost and found box he actually came out from behind the counter and ask around if anyone was missing their keys.
This gentleman's name is Matthew. He finally found the owner but before handing the keys over for protection he asked for the descriptions of the keys. I was impressed. The owner described the keys and indeed it was her keys and retrieve them.
This gentleman is a great employee here at Palms Cafe so because of him I give Palms Cafe five stars on service and humility. I give it another 5 stars with good tasting food as my Mushroom Swiss burger with fries on the side and a slice of pickle was delicious. The burger was humongous for my appetite but it didn't stop me from eating it completely. Though it took some time. I also give it 5 stars on Ambience and presentation the setting was very comforting and beautiful. But I have to give it two stars with the welcoming committee as the greeting could have been better. It was a bit of confusion of what was to be done when you come in. Do you sit and be waited on or would you be escortedto a table? I really didn't know what to do and as I sat there and ate my meal another couple that came in behind me and the same thing happened to them. They didn't know what was going to happen. If they were going to be served or seated or what.
But I still I still suggest you go and experience it for yourself and enjoy the taste. At least with a Mushroom Swiss burger and Matheew's genuinely kind service. I can vouch for...
Read moreVery disappointed. I took my daughter out for breakfast and "The manager" took my order. I asked for the breakfast special for $4.99? I asked if it came with turkey bacon. She said yes. I paid for our food and I was charged $6.90. I said the special says $4.99. She said "uggh, I can't tell everything." I said well that's dishonest you should disclose an increase to your customers. She handed me $6.90, I said and the tax please. She handed me a dollar and said "here." very rude. She starts huffing and puffing and yelling "you better shut your mouth." I said no, you shut yours. I have a right to speak just like you do. I said "please refund the entire ticket. She said well, I am not giving you your money back." You can wait on the manager.
I said, "no, I am going to call the police because you are now stealing my money." She said "you better shut your mouth and starts going oooh and ooohing and grabbing her arms.I said "in fact where is your manager?" She said "My name is Lisa and I am the manager." I said " then where is the owner. She said "Oh she is going to be worst than I am to you." I said "well there's always online." She then said "you better leave or I will call the law.
The other worker came and said "no, this is so unnecessary I will refund your money." I said "yes it is because you should disclose it to your customers when there is an upcharge." She started her "you better shut your mouth or ..... I said "Or what?" and she carried on huffing and puffing and we left and spent our money where they have good...
