I used the qr code outside to place my order. Their site said it would be at least 15mins, so i choose the option to text me when it was ready so that I could take a quick nap in my back seat. 🙄 After my power nap I looked and hadn't received any texts about my order that I had placed over 30mins ago, so I went inside to investigate. The girl asked me if I had an order to go and then gestured that it was sitting on the counter. I asked them how long it had been sitting there and let them know that i never received a text. Their response was that they brought it outside and didn't see anyone (which was not the option I picked). I never got a clear answer to how long it had been sitting there, but I can say that everything was cold. My entire life I've been working in customer service, and at least a decade in restaurants, and I can not believe that they didn't just offer to remake everything right then for me! I wasted $30 and my time, and had to eat cold food and drink cold coffee because of their mistake. I chose this place because it had close to 5 stars, but I won't...

I'm kind of kicking myself for taking so long to try this amazing place out! I can't comment on there coffee which is sad to say, although there coffee selection is amazing as well as their tea selection.

There ice tea is great and the size of this place is awesome. Decent size and super chill environment to study or meet up with anyone. This place allows dogs because there was a man that had a tiny dog with him while working on his laptop and the dog was sitting in its bed next to him. It didn't make noise or disturb anyone so maybe that is one of the conditions.

I ordered the yellow curry with tofu and it was delicious. They ask you if you want mild, medium, or hot for the spicing. I am not used to being asked that about curry so I said Medium because curry can normally rest on the "mild" ratio already.

This was SPICY! There was hot flakes on the top I could have picked off or asked for the hot on the side. I'd recommend you do that instead of just thinking it'll be no biggie and mixing it all in. Otherwise you will ensue with the...

A favorite of mine since I lived in the avenues 15 years ago, this coffeeshop has the best community feeling, the most lively energy, and most laidback vibe. Lots of seating for a small space, and more comfortable than most. I love to write here, and this is one of those places where I mysteriously do my best work. Even though it's not quiet, the ambient noise is perfect.

My favorite drink is dairy-free dirty chai Cubano-style. The flavors of chai, espresso, brown sugar, and cinnamon are like angels serenading my taste buds. I love the artwork, and how the community board is right up front.

The only negative is that it's kind of impersonal to order on a tablet. I don't mind, since ordering food or drink gives me low-grade social anxiety, but I know customers who feel a lack of connection. The ordering system has the potential to cause confusion, like when I bring a personal cup, they don't use it. That is my...

We came to Salt Lake City for a golf tournament. There are a lot of great things about SLC but Cafe on 1st has to be the best hidden gem in town. I’ll be honest we are friends with the owners but that doesn’t change the fact that this place pays attention to detail. The amount of egg on the sandwiches is generous to say the least. The burrito is giant and the breakfast bowl is so good. The location is great. Tree lined streets and very peaceful. Plenty of parking on the street as well as the lot behind the building. Atmosphere is great in the shop with more than enough seating for everyone.

Tucked away on a quiet corner, this coffee shop is the kind of place you stumble into and immediately want to stay awhile. The espresso is smooth and rich, with just the right balance of boldness and warmth. The atmosphere strikes a perfect mix of cozy and modern—soft lighting, comfortable seating, and the gentle hum of conversation in the background. The staff are genuinely friendly, making you feel more like a guest than a customer. Whether you’re there to work, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a latte, it’s the kind of spot that makes you wish every neighborhood had one.

I wouldn’t recommend the food. We tried bagels, sandwiches, and smoothies. The smoothies were okay, but didn’t seem to have any real fruit in them which was disappointing for the price. The sandwich and bagels were just plain bad. Hardly any cream cheese (even though we paid extra for it) the meat in the sandwich was all balled up in the middle (not spread evenly), and the bread was soggy because there was too much sauce. The place is in a very cute area and they have a decently large menu, but prices are very high for the quality and the vibe inside was off.
