Iceberg Shake Shop - Seasonal Location — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

I visited this establishment and ordered a cake batter and cookie dough shake. I clearly informed the staff that I have a peanut allergy. I was told there might be trace amounts, which I fully accepted—my allergy is not anaphylactic, although I do become very ill if I consume enough.

What I received, however, contained actual Snickers—an ingredient that explicitly includes peanuts. This is not a case of trace contamination. This is a clear failure to communicate and handle allergy information responsibly.

As a result, I became very sick. This level of negligence is unacceptable. If someone had a severe allergy, this could have resulted in a medical emergency.

If your staff aren’t aware of what ingredients go into the shakes they’re serving, or are not taking allergy disclosures seriously, that’s a major safety issue. Wow, and a snarky, passive-aggressive response from the owner. Unreal. I remember when owners actually knew what customer service was. Root beer freezes have been my absolute favorite for decades, and I've never had one this bad. Nearly no root beer included. And the owner's decision to post this kind of childish response solidifies my decision to NEVER go to any Iceberg location again.

Decided to try this location after having the a horrible shake experience at the main one a while back. Mistake. Worst root beer freeze I've had in my entire life. I even asked for extra root beer, but they made me basically a vanilla shake with micro amounts of undetectable root beer. I don't think those kids even know what a root beer freeze is supposed to be. Got a refund, and that will be my last...

I've always been a huge fan of Iceberg shakes and was so sad when the one next to my house closed down. But this cute little shake shop is the perfect addition to the community. The sacks are equally delicious as I remembered, and it's in the cutest neighborhood by the cutest shop. I'm so excited to see this pop up and, again, DELICIOUS, as well as the pretzel bites! 😍 and then, not to mention, the owners of this little shakes shop are the nicest, kindest, and most impressive couple.
