A Hidden Gem with Enchanted Flavors â Colombian Comfort with Garden Vibes
First time at Encanto Restaurant, and weâre already planning our return! This place is tiny, but thatâs part of the charmâit has a cozy, backyard garden feel with tropical bird art on the walls and a sweet, welcoming vibe throughout. Definitely make a reservation, as seating is limited.
We were greeted immediately by a wonderful server who made us feel right at home. Since it was our first visit, we werenât totally sure how the menu worked, but she walked us through it so kindly and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
We shared the Enchanted Platter, and it was perfect for first-timersâit includes a little bit of everything: grilled meats like carne asada, chicken, chorizo, and morcilla (black sausage), plus plantains and yellow potatoes. The flavors were bold, comforting, and totally satisfyingâand the portion was huge. We were very glad we shared!
We also tried the Enchanted Mimosas, which were tropical, refreshing, and the perfect sip for the setting.
Fun surprise: Encanto is the sister restaurant to Mi Buena Vida, the fantastic Mexican spot right next doorâso the good vibes and great food made perfect sense the moment we stepped in.
This was a beautiful intro to Colombian cuisine in a setting that feels like a tucked-away treasure. Weâll definitely be backânext time, hungrier and ready to explore more...
Read moreFirst of all I will admit our mistake. We arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes late for our reservation due to traffic, and while we understand that this may have been an issue, the hostâs complete lack of empathy was truly frustrating. Instead of attempting to accommodate us, she simply told us that another group had taken our table and that they couldnât help us at all. She didnât even suggest waiting a little longer to see if a table might open up, nor did she seem to make any effort to help. We explained that we had driven all the way from Herriman with small kids just to try this restaurant. Whatâs worse, there was a Mexican restaurant on the second floor, and she didnât even mention it, despite knowing we were looking for a last-minute place to eat nearby. Thankfully, we were able to find a restaurant in the same location but in the second floor called âMi Buena Vidaâ, where we received excellent service and delicious food. While Iâm not upset about the fact that they cancelled our reservation , the lack of effort or empathy from the host is why we wonât be returning here. If you look in other reviews you can actually see they have multiple negative reviews regarding reservations and not wanting to provide...
Read moreI was looking for a place for dinner out of the downtown core in a comfortable and homely environment. The reviewers spoke atmosphere was was amazing. When we arrived after 7pm every table was full and in a good way. Parking limited to street parking only. I wanted a healthier meal full of protein and flavors that were a culinary adventure . When the Enchanted platter pork belly crackling came with authentic salsa and guacamole. The soda I got was unique a Colombiana soda. I found the flavor similar to a red cream soda, but not the same. The salsa was definitely on the mild side more of an accent flavor along with the grilled meats. The Magical delight is an interesting dessert. It has a berry jam topped with mozzarella on a sugar cone wafer. The crunchy wafer makes for a contrast in the texture soft cheese combo.
Their churros come crunchy and warm even after the car ride home. It was worth the wait!
Empanada we got to go so that review is still to be determined.
I would highly recommend Encanto as a community favourite in the area. I hope it see it just as busy on Wednesday night again in the...
