I’ve never really had this kind of food before so I was a little nervous. I described it to someone else as a mix or somewhere between Greek and Indian which I guess makes sense geographically too haha. I was so pleasantly surprised by everything! So much flavor in all of it. Even just the salad that we had something else served on top of. We got an appetizer plate with four different things. I think the hummus (which was so bright and creamy and a good contrast to some of the warmer flavors), potatoes Harra, fries and aioli (to die for! I always love a good aioli), and Muhammara (I’d never had anything like that before, a walnut and pomegranate dip? Almost like hummus thickness but such a different flavor and SO good!) Then we had a lamb Kafta over salad, which like I said before was so surprisingly good! I was just expecting lettuce but it had some amazing dressing and toppings on it. And then we tried the chicken and potatoes Muttabak since we’d seen so many reviews talking about it. It was so yummy! If you like Indian food this is right up your alley. The warm spices and flavors were so so good. We obviously came home with leftovers and I was so happy to taste it all again!

I bike past this place everyday on my way back home from work and finally decided to stop by to pick up some dinner for take out. Appreciated them social distancing and using gloves and a mask. The service itself was great. I ordered the Magmoor and Rice for my entree and the Spinach Fatayer Flatbread as an appetizer. The Flatbread was good but was a little bland. I expected it to be a little more seasoned and flavorful but instead it was a bit dull and slightly burned on the outside. The Magmoor was pretty good, but again I expected more flavor. It did taste very fresh and I could tell they used quality ingredients, but I was expecting a little more umph. I wished the presentation had been a little better as well. It was mediocre at best and even though it was an order for takeout, I think they still could have presented it a bit better. The food was also lacking in uniqueness. I love middle eastern cuisine but nothing really differentiated Mazza from any other middle eastern restaurant in the area. Definitely worth at least stoping by at. I hope to stop by again and order a different entree and see if I should update my critique.

I really enjoyed eating at Mazza. It can be challenging to find truly authentic Middle Eastern food in this part of the US, but I would highly reccommend Mazza for it atmosphere, excellent service at most importantly its food. I had the small plate combination so that I could try a variety of things on the menu. I had the tabbouleh, vegetarian grape leaves, and the hummus with pita bread. I think that sometimes its the simpest dishes that can really show the flaws of a restaurant or they can demonstrate the artistry of the chef. All three are relatively simple dishes, and becuase of that make them ones that can easily be made carelessly. Mazza did not disappoint. All three dishes were delicious. The ingredients were fresh and hgih quality. Additionally, the flavors were well-balanced and extremely tasty. The interior of the restaurant is cozy and intimate, that being said, I strongly suggest you plan aghead an get a reservation. Have a marvelous time, should you decide to try it (which I hope you will)!

We have a few favorites in the neighborhood so we thought we’d give Mazza a try. The service was adequate, just enough attention, but nothing spectacular. Similar to the food. Not bad, but nothing to get too excited about. I don’t mention salads much but mine was saturated with vinegar, super sour. The lamb shank was tender and tasted good but about average flavor for what I’ve had before. The chicken shawarma was the same, decent flavor but forgettable. The ambience was great and quite busy right before closing time. Maybe I caught them on a bad night but not sure I’d go again with better options nearby. Edit: Management reached out to me. For that, I bumped them up a star and will probably stop in again sometime. Folks who can take criticism and not get upset are super admirable in my book. Nomad East and Sasa Kitchen are two of my local favorites.

Not bad food. Most of the lamb is certified halal. Just check with the staff, they can verify. They were all nice and took care of everything quickly. The fries and lentil & spinach soup were good. The lamb & spinach signature dish was great! The lamb was tender with a mild flavor and the pine nuts and almonds added the perfect crunch to the meal. The lamb & rice dolaa was not the best but it was a good mix of flavor. It is a really small location so it is loud and crowded. Worth a try if you are in the area!
