Stay away from this hotel at all cost! Dirty and bed bugs!
We booked 3 nights here with 2 kids. On the first night, they gave us a dirty room (410) with multiple large yellow bodily fluid stains on bedsheets. The hanging towels had black and yellow fluid stains. Crap on the toilet seat. One of the beds had no bedsheets.
I went to complain to the front desk person named Sage, and he told me that the room looked cleaned to him when he checked it before we checked in. Sage gave me a stack of towels, bedsheets, and blankets so that I could do housekeeping for the hotel. After spending 2 hours changing the bedsheets, towels, and cleaning up the room so that my kids can rest at 3AM in the morning. I also brought the dirty towels and bedsheets to the front desk so that Sage could see those "clean" items.
We moved to another room (408) on the second night that looked significant better and smelled clean. The following morning, one of my kids and I have bed bugs bites on our neck and arms.
We went to the front desk multiple times to complain and ask for the manager, but just get excuses of the manager not being available or today is the current manager's last day with the hotel. One of the front desk personnel offered to give me membership points, and he can help sign me up for membership. Obviously, I declined since I would never plan to come back to this hotel ever again.
We traveled a lot across the US and have stayed more than hundreds of hotels in the past 10 years. This hotel is by far the worst hotel that we have...
Read moreEach year we take all of our girls to Salt Lake City to go see the Temple Square Christmas Lights. This was especially special for us this year because the lights will be gone for 4-years due to remodeling. At that point in time all but 1 of our girls will be out of the house. We booked a room with queen size beds and with teenage girls, we needed the room. Sadly, when we arrived, we found the room had full sized beds. When I went to the front desk, I spoke with the attendant and he indicated that the option we had was that room with the full size beds (he said he wasn’t sure why they are advertised as those size because they’re much smaller, more like full size. He said the other option was a room with a king size bed but when I asked if there were 2 beds he said, “no, the rooms only have 1 king bed.” Of course, that didn’t help us. The other option was we could get another room and he would get the best price he could for us (which ended up be quite a bit more than the room we had already paid for, which already didn’t meet our needs). Obviously, this was extremely disappointing since the lights won’t be available to us as a whole family outing again. I had other options and I wish I had stayed elsewhere with my family. Of course, hindsight is is ALWAYS 20/20.
I travel quite a bit for work and typically stay at Marriott’s and overall I really enjoy my stays, however this is my second stay at a Springhill Suites and we have so far been disappointed. I plan on giving them one more chance but...three strikes and...
Read moreI enjoy staying at Srping Hill Marriott's and will choose this brand over other hotel chains. I will NEVER stay at this particular location again. Upon checking in we asked for a room away from the elevators and with a quiet location. They put us next to the stairs and on same floor as a sports team. We also had a room that faced the busy loud road. I traveled to SLC to run the marathon so we hoped to have a quiet early night. The youth sports team ran through the halls and stairs all night long. I called the front desk multiple times and they told us they fixed the problem. Every 30 minutes the youth would be running in halls and stairway. It is frustrating to pay $200 to not sleep. I would have been better to sleep in my car. Our group left the hotel at 6 am to run the race. We met in the breakfast area/front lobby. Two homeless people that were clearly drunk were passed out on the couches. We assumed the breakfast crew would ask them to leave and each staff member walked passed them several times and never said a word. We decided to alert the front desk about the situation and it took over 10 minutes for someone to come out from back office. The staff member was annoyed that we wanted him to remove homeless person. I should have not paid the $200 nightly rate and slept in lobby, I probably would have slept better with less noise for free! After the marathon we returned to shower and check out. When we checked out we voiced our concerns with front desk and they "were sorry to hear" we had a...
