Me & My Fiance decided to go out for a late night bite on Oct, 23rd around 1:30am so we decided to give this spot a try since it seemed to be good according to the reviews we read. Upon arrival we noticed the entrance to the dinning room was blocked off, & we were told by an Officer that came from inside (we both thought that was a bit weird but ok,) that the dinning room was closed after 10pm since COVID (Something not stated anywhere)..

So we decided to order at the drive-thru anyway..

We tried ordering 2 of their frozen mango margaritas, but we were told they stop selling margs after 10pm ... continuing a bad experience visit (again something not stated anywhere) ..

So we decided to just order food, & upon arriving to the window we had a young black lady give us an extremely bad attitude, we decided to ignore that as we understand we not everyone is always in a good mood at work.

I Ordered 2 enchiladas, me being me I got one red and one green to see what sauce id like best (for future reference of course) .. and a Large Orchara, My Fiance ordered a cheese quesadilla & 1 been & cheese taco & a lemonade

Preferably I enjoyed the green enchilada more than the red, but that's just my opinion. The enchiladas came with rice & beans .. rice was okay I guess.. but the beans were completely dry and flavorless tasted like unsalted canned beans,

The quesadilla had very little to no cheese and was extremely dry, came with a tostada bowl with sour cream & flavorless guacamole.

What finally made decided to write this review was when we woke up the next morning my fiance asked me to warm up her bean and cheese taco, come to find out it was just 2 tortillas rolled up together.. nothing else.

The lemonade was pretty good, & fresh, but the orchara was extremely grainy.

Honestly probably won't be coming back, what a shame as I had high hopes with all the "good reviews" ...smh.

Oh yeah .. by the way Apparently... The chips & Salsa ARE NOT FREE ... as I asked if they where and they stated I'd have to pay...

My experience was unique to say the least! Went in with a coworker to have a late dinner about night to morning shift change we ordered at the register and I went to use my debit card and due to NSF it declined we removed items from the order and the card still declined I was using tap n pay Google pay it declined even though there were enough funds ,so my coworker used his card and I pulled my checking account up and literally watched my money disappear and now seeing a 0.00 balance I was speechless because the merchant took the money although it was declined. There also was an error eous charge for $9.47 not even mine deducted from my account both in a pending status. I called the bank in the morning when they opened and they stated could not dispute charges while in pending. Needless to say I'm still waiting for my monies to be returned that was on the 31st March it's the 18th of April I've been in contact with Susan the controller and / IT PERSON who is giving every reason to not return my funds .I've spoken with another IT PERSON he states making a mission to solve and return my funds left messages with admin no follow up. I'm going to escalate legally and through the media next. They refused to give me the owner's name and that's fine I am seeing 8 doctors from injuries in a car accident and need this money for medical bills Others I've spoken to have had similar happen there never returned their money ...Very...

This place was an easy fail , and a big stamp of disapproval in taste ! Along with a rating on the lower 90's score from the city(if ,I correctly ,recall). From the score on the wall. Green enchiladas, tasted like a tomatillo . Hunks of dried up , chicken .. the plastic knife wouldn't cut thru. No flavor, other then tomatillo . My son and I both got the enchiladas Verdes, his was just as bad.He dumped condiments, (piled high) jalapeno n salsa , just to try to kill the nastiness. Spanish rice , was over cooked. Tasted over powered with one season. I think it was comino. Tasted no other flavor. Just a mushy comino tasting side or I'd say Mess !!!. The refried beans were very good. I ate mine with chips .The queso was , of course it came cold. So that made that 🤢. A customer stood a food service trying to correct his. Order, the employees made horrible faces and gave him a hard time. He just wanted his order correct. Customers deserve that ! All and all , this kind of food , and service, pushes me too believe, their employees don't care , how their customers care. This was the worst food experience, meal experience I have had to date. Just left with a horrible taste in my mouth. We didn't bother bringing our left overs home(nearly full , plates). It was just that gross. I wish the experience, was better. Of course it could have and...

It was trash... We drove from walzem and naco to this stores location just so the two wonderful women with could endulge in just the beef fajita tacos they oh so craved.. We get there and order $69 worth of food and drinks only to get home to find out that the only reason we went was not in either bag... Well being already tipsy and risking one drive for food finishing the last round of drinks from this establishment we were told instead of getting our lost tacos door dashed to us they told us to drive back up there... Amazing how they would risk being the ones responsible for a drunk driving accident and afford millions due to death or major injury but they would not pay $5 for a delivery person to make up for their mistake...worse management decision making ever... So my fellow San antonio midnight Mexican food party going friends mama margies will risk your life over two tacos without even a second thought...plus the rice was salty and the freaking nachos were like eating cardboard triangles with a crunchy roach wing shell... The guac was brown and the sour cream tasted as if I was sitting in a warm bowl of water...

Mama Margie’s is “nacho” ordinary fast food late night Tex-Mex joint. They’ve had several locations in San Antonio for quite a few years, but I never paid them any attention until recently. Why, why, oh why have I overlooked this inexpensive late-night Tex-Mex destination for so many years? They’re open 24 hours a day, so they’re always available for your late-night snacks, early morning breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The beef fajita nachos are out of this world. Tender, flavorful fajita meat on top of a nice layer of cheese and refried beans on fresh, crisp tortilla chips. A hefty scoop of guac and sour cream is included in the middle of the plate. I’ll be honest though, the seating kinda sucks and sometimes you have to sit at a table near the ordering area which can be annoying. Everyone backs up to your table while you are trying to eat and hang out. They don’t have the best salsa bar in town, but it holds up fairly well. Unlimited (free) chips, several varieties of salsa, and free jalapeno slices for your nachos. Ice cold beer and good margaritas for sure. I stake my reputation on that one.
