So I’ve been going to coco’s for years but lately it seems like they have just been going down hill. Especially with service. The food hasn’t really changed. It’s still the same food they’ve had for years. As far as service, it looks like no one wants to work there. We arrive and the doors are still locked. Now, it’s only 5 mins past opening, but still. Cashier doesn’t want to be there, but she’s the only one who really does anything we ask when it comes to getting food. The manager, or whoever he was, was too busy taking pics of the pizza that some of the pizzas were getting stuck and getting burnt. Then, instead of asking for another one to be made, he puts the burned pizza out for people to eat. They used to greet you when you came in, and said bye when you left. Don’t think I heard any of that. Miss the old Cici’s
UPDATE* So my wife and I recently revisited CiCi’s. We showed up right as they opened. No one rolled their eyes as we walked in but instead we’re greeted with a smile and a “Welcome to CC’s”. The buffet was actually full of food, and when I made a request, I didn’t have to wait till we were about to leave. The cashier was very polite. The manager, whose name I forgot to ask, for, was friendly, fast, and courteous. I’ve raised my rating from a three star to a four star, on overall experience and my service review to a five star because of that cashier and the manager. I hope that the owners and corporate know that the experience was a completely different experience from the last time, and I highly praise that manager, and that cashier for doing such...
Read moreReviewing for parents: If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We visited this establishment today. While paying for our meals, we were asked if we wanted drinks. We didn’t, as my husband is diabetic and could only have water. When my husband went to grab our water, the mechanism for water wasn’t working, which made the water come out “mixed” looking (like lemonade or another flavored drink). This was through no fault of our own, as again, we didn’t want anything flavored. When we finally got the drinks to the table, some manager comes up and makes a scene about the drinks and how we had not paid for actual drinks. My husband and I explained the water, and rather than apologize or rectify the situation, he takes the drinks from our table and throws them away and brings us two empty cups. He stated that the cameras were watching everyone. Nothing to rectify or even apologize that he was calling such attention in a busy restaurant, which was hugely embarrassing, he still made two elderly people get up and get water to his satisfaction. We have never had such poor service in an...
Read moreOf all the CiCi's locations in San Antonio, this is one of the worst. The restaurant is generally unclean, tables are left dirty for a long amount of time- making it difficult to find a place to sit during busy hours. However, my biggest complaint is that they do not keep up with the food on the buffet. What is everyone's favorite item on the buffet? The cinnamon rolls!(generally) There will be a 15-20 minute gap between the cinnamon rolls being available, and because of this, everyone attacks them right when they are put out because we have all been waiting. So they are gone within 60 seconds, and if you miss out, you're back to waiting. It shouldn't be like that. They should keep up with the demand, and have a pan of WHATEVER food ready to replace the previous as soon as it goes empty. The price also continues to increase...gone are the days where CiCi's could pride itself on being a super cheap buffet. The cost has increased, but the quality has not. Save your time and go to a...
